I love it when a newbie comes in and basically says, " So what if I'm new, I piss on your etiquette". That's always fun. Welcome to the board. May your stay here be brief.

I did not care much for the drummers, they were nice when they were on the other side of the arena but they always came to my section at the start of the 2nd quarter and just banged away right in your ears... kinda annoying after the first couple chants...

Why could they not talk? Wasn't real wild about all the face paint either...

Can't knock the actual guys though, they're just doing their jobs... it just didn't fly too well with me.

Will there be complimentary Rockets ear plugs so the fans don't have to listen to "Llano Estecado" for the 15,000th time?

so what if i have only 4 posts, you were there once. Yeah the drummers suck, they couldnt even keep the same rhythm at times. Sometimes the annoying guy with long hair would even fall off tempo during the intro. Doesnt he play in a band or something, thats what i heard. either way, they suck, and they should be replaced by a good techno song or DMX.

    Damn! That sucks!

They were a novelty at first, but now they are annoying.

They should play at Rice or U of H collage football game. Not basketball.

    It just doesn't fit.

No one waits to see somebody make a mistake. Enough of us read your newbie garbage that we can spot it a mile away. When you've been here a while and your tired of filtering through the bs, tell us more. We're glad to have new members, but they've got to learn the ropes.

Just a question, have you ever had a job or been around people that don't know the ropes? Lurk a little more buddy and post a little less often until you have something new and interesting to say. Then when you post stupid stuff we can look back and say, "He has some decent posts" and just choose to leave you alone. We all do it, but it takes a while to learn the ropes. You'll never learn if no one tells you.

Keep posting, Seriously. Nothing personal here.

It is. I've actually had the opportunity to do some Rockets and Comets games with my group. It is soooooooo sweet to be paid to attend a game and then have a 15,000 people captive audience on top of that. I understand what they were trying to do with the drum thing. It just did not gel in its current state. It needs some major tweaking.

    JUST BRING BACK THE FUNK!!!!!

i went to two games last year and though it was different, i didnt mind the drummers. it might be better if they didnt play so much during the game though. it started to get old after awhile. and why not add some other percussive instruments and get a 20 piece army of drummers blasting?

If you think they are annoying in a big stadium try having them in a place 50X smaller. I had them here at my bar for a Rockets Viewing Party and they were banging away and it was the loudest thing i have ever heard. I mean it was cool at the begining to get the crowd hyped up but after that they continued to go on and on during every timeout which i couldn't believe.

My place is pretty decent sized but just image having those drummers indoors in your house, that's how everything echoed people were seriously cringing hehe....

Speaking of another place badly in need of a funk band. Lovin' the hat, though. ;)
