Who the hell does that hospital think they are?? Making sure that the personnel are clean and sober, seriously what is their deal?
You're right. If you're using drugs, GTFO of the hospital. They don't have time to play with that crap. Go volunteer at the zoo instead.
I probably wouldn't want a drug user to be working for a place that dispenses ... drugs. If for no other reason - financial reasons. This reminds me of the time they busted a pharmacist at the hospital pharmacy I used to work at for stealing drugs. lol. He apparently was a non-volunteer/well-paid drug user they hired.
for those interested, they emailed me back saying they do not regularly test volunteers unless an injury happens on the job that seems suspicious.
