It's certainly been a wet summer so far in East Texas....a nice change. Love the lower temperatures.

    So about that drought.....

Lot's of moisture being pulled into TX....remnants of Odile will be pouring moisture into West TX, and this moisture over South East TX. So much rain!

It's currently pouring down rain in Burnet County, but drought is not about rain, it's about groundwater levels and lake levels and and aquifer levels and spring flows and river flows, none of which are anywhere close to being close to normal. So just because it rains or there's a hurricane or something, don't think that the actual drought is over.

Let me know when Barton Springs is flowing, and I'll come over for a visit.

As a motorcyclist, this week has been intolerable. Car drivers become insane, especially around that I-45 and I-10 junction by downtown.

Bruh, I have to drive through that interchange on the way to work and on the way back home as I live right thur. I make sure to stay behind any car by at least 3-5 car lengths and take my time. I've seen 4 fender benders this past week due to people being in a rush. Idiots.

4 trillion gallons=160 million swimming pools=96 billion bathtubs.

But wait, the numbers get even more insane when looking at the totals throughout the West as a whole...

Across the West, 63 trillion gallons of groundwater has been pumped since 2013 and it is changing the landscape.
