Angry much? I'm sure you're guilty of doing the exact same things you're b****ing about.

    Relax dude.

That would be hypocritical of me, so no, I don't. Sounds like perhaps you're feeling guilty about doing most of them though. Please try to stop at least one of the behaviors soon. Thanks!

Actually, I agree with all of your points. But on some occasions, out of the ten hours I'm on the road each week, I slip and commit the sin. So I'm a bit more forgivable to the offenders and road rage a lot less.

Try it. Your blood pressure might go down :)

Some of you all are way too intense. Just light up some ganja, jam some Damian Marley and cruise 45 mph on the highway on the slow lane. I promise you if you did that you won't feel angry toward anyone when you drive.

No joke - when I was living in the US, I think it was in early 1996, we made a trip from Houston to San Antonio. On the way back, this pickup truck was tailgating and sort of hassling us to get off the left lane. I was a bit annoyed as we were already going faster than the speed limit, but I didn't think too much of it, so I made way after a short time and let the guy pass.

About 10 or 20 miles further down towards Houston, we saw the same pickup truck lying in a ditch next to the road. I thought ok, the guy was speeding, so he probably had an accident.

When we got home, I watched the news on TV and lo and behold, there was a report that explained what happened - so the guy kept driving aggressively, tailgating and sort of pushing people out of the lane. Then apparently, some other guy got mad and wouldn't let him pass and made some aggressive gestures. So this guy pulled out a gun - but the other guy was faster...and shot him.

Cool story bro. I wish there was a way to verify this story from 1995/1996, but I remember that this is pretty much exactly how it happened.

Concealed weapons law or something...and kind of a "stand your ground" back in the day.

got into my car last night and was forced to put on FM radio (iphone in the trunk)
flipping between stations I had a choice between Aerosmith, Limp Bizkit, Nicki Minaj and what I can only assume was Dub Step

and we wonder why Road Rage is such a big issue?

I don't get worked up about people cutting me off or bad driving in general. Men in general get really pissed off when they feel they've been disrespected, and they feel this way when they're cut off on the road. I don't view it as such -- I just chalk it up to the driver making a mistake and get over it. You never know what's going through peoples' heads when they get behind the wheel of a car -- their wife may have just cheated on them, they may have just been fired from a job, they may be high on drugs or drunk, etc. It's not worth "trying to teach them a lesson" by honking/screaming/hand gesturing.

A couple months ago when I got on 610 at about 6:00am at Fannin, I must have cut off this one dude in a big black truck. Because as I drove I realized that he was driving right beside me and was accelerating when I was and braking when I was. It was very weird. After a minute or so I realized that if I couldn't get over, I'd be forced to exit on Braeswood. So I slammed on the breaks, and when he did the same I then accelerated and got ahead of him.

Then I was in the position of power and I didn't let him get past me.

    HA!

I agree with this in that it helps me not to get worked up anymore. However, there's just a general lack of concentration and awareness that people have when driving cars. It's too easy to cause the death of someone or yourself when you're behind the wheel and distracted. It's the carelessness that bugs me and really kills me when I have my daughter in the car with me. Which, of course, has also helpe me not to get worked up anymore.
