So tomorrow I take out the hummerzine for the first time. At my work I've been doing mostly SUVs and Vans but the bump in pay to drive the Hummer is too good to pass up. Gonna take it out in the morning for a little practice run since I've never driven anything this big before. And of course my first job with it is in Miami (Florida) and the traffic should be interesting to say the least. Anyone have experience driving these things? Any advice?

So just got home from 10 hours of driving this thing..... I'm exhausted from stress. Everything went "well" had a few bad turns and had to make them "40" point turns. And I got robbed while walking around waiting for my passengers to get out of dinner. All in all a good night.

I live in South Florida, and I was in a downtown type area called Coconut Grove. Parked the hummer and went for a walk. Just some punk kid with a knife all he got was 10 bucks. Thank goodness I'm poor? lol And yes, just happy I'm ok and didnt crash the damn Hummerzine. I told my boss who's a family friend he's gotta fix all the crap on the hummer if he wants me driving it again. Power steering sucks, electrical problems with the back, and something drains the battery when off so I have to unplug the terminals from the battery when I park it. But like I said, glad nothing bad happened.

Sounds like a hummer...I wonder why they stopped making them? I have a friend that bought 7 of them over his hummer phase. He complained about each one of them. They all spent so much time in the shop but he'd kept getting new ones - all H1s or H2s (rag/hard tops, suvs, trucks). Guess he wanted to stay under warranty. Now he's on to Audis and Porsches.
