I believe Drexler referred to Asik as a "budding superstar" in last night's game. I like Asik as much as the next guy, but ... um ... no.

I'm watching the game on delay. This Drexler stuff is hilarious. Drexler questions whether DMo can be great after Bull mentions great potential, then Bull and Bill decide to pick on Drexler being literal the rest of the game.

I paid more attention to the bs the broadcast team was giving each other more than the game. That was hilarious. And then Glyde says to cut it out. That was awesome. He mine as well say, you got me guys.

Drexler needs to own his tendencies to take things literally. It's not a big deal to be literal. I do it too often too. But if you own it, it works. He should just tell folks he's earned the right to be literal. Bull has not. (Bullard has actually earned every right to be whatever he wants to be, but for trash talking purposes, Clyde has him.)

I'm glad someone put the literally thing in here, because I missed Clyde's initial comment and only heard the 25 times after that that Bill and Bull used it. It sounded like they were being sarcastic so I went ahead and assumed they were making fun of Clyde.

Anytime I hear the word these days all I can think of is...

Clyde was pretty annoying last night during the Rockets-Cavs game. But again, he's annoying almost every time he's on broadcast.

Bull was saying the Rockets with the new lineup with D-Mo in, are averaging an astounding 118 points per 100 possessions, the Heat 110 points per 100 possessions. Then, Clyde went on and shoot it down saying it was because the level of competition wasn't high. Matt Bullard continues to say how good the Rockets were and Clyde kept shooting it down saying, " they have the Jazz and Cavs coming in so they wanted to padded their stats"...

Seriously? Clyde is an idiot. Does he not know the Rockets have one of the best offense in the NBA? The Rockets offense ranks top 5, which is elite. So its not surprising that they are averaging 118 points per 100 possession, but Clyde kept saying the Rockets were only doing that to bad teams.

I've heard Clyde say it a couple of times now every time Bill and him talk about injuries or how if someone gets injured and they walk off the court only to come back on he says "young guys nowadays are made of rubber they just bounce right back up." Then he continues to add how they are old now and can't do the same lol.

I LOVE Clyde! :D Funniest **** yesterday was when Clyde and Bull were making fun of Bill about the 8-track tapes. I also remember him saying "whenever a player got that close to me, I thought 'I'm gonna have to rearrange your face!'" as well as the classic "you gotta go up and dunk that!" whenever Asik or Smith get rejected.

Clyde will say some cringing things but him, Bullard and Bill are the most entertaining local crew in the league, they're probably the only local crew that doesn't put me to sleep. Those of you that want Clyde gone, trust me, our broadcasting won't be nearly as entertaining. There were a few games this year where it was only Bill and Bullard and it just wasn't as fun to hear, it's like ABC's crew of only Jeff Gundy and Mike Green after Marc Jackson left, it just wasn't the same anymore.

Plus I'm not gonna root for the man to get fired, that's kinda messed up lol. Now if we were replace Clyde with Calvin Murphy and then put Clyde in the halftime seat, I'd be down for that. :)

He often doesn't know what he is talking about but I like his commentary and find him amusing. Better than the commentators that know nothing and are boring at the same time.

I say we get rid of Bullard and Clyde and hire the Van Gundy brothers to bicker at each other the entire broadcast.

Most of the time I'm stuck watching games online and it is usually the other teams announcers on those feeds. I miss hearing Bull, Clyde and Bill. Other announcers are more cut and dry than ours. I think they make the game more interesting for fans, or at least try to rather than give statistical breakdowns and stuff. I prefer it that way.

He actually called Asik "a superstar in the budding."

Sure, he was thinking "budding superstar," but the fact that he screwed up the phrase AND applied it to Omer Asik had me laughing.

If you get the opponent's feed, get on Rockets Radio with Craig Ackerman :) he's pretty cool too.

"Guards want to be big men and big men want to be point guards"

He said that last game and I've heard him say it a couple times before

Clyde is always mystified that the game doesn't come so easily to other people.

About Jeremy: "He's got to learn how to fall without getting injured!"
On equipment: "I never wore an ankle brace"
"I never wore a mouth guard, I just learned how to not to get hit in the mouth"

He is also confused at why Asik isn't as good as Hakeem.

I love Clyde, he has the best chortle. I actually personally prefer his mannerisms over Walt Frazier's. The other 2 commentators do a good job of playing off him and covering for him.

Clyde should just challenge them to a duel on the court, then we will see who's the smart guy.

I actually thought Clyde made a very good point there. Cool stat by Bullard, but to put something like that out there without mentioning the cupcake schedule we've had lately is misleading. I usually don't agree with Drexler on anything, but he was right to point out that such stats should always be considered in context of opponent strength.

Clyde should just say something sexist while he thinks nobody is watching and some chick will put him on twitter and problem solved.
