Most commentators are like that. It's easier to talk about the team they only see 3 or 4 times a year as opposed to 80. You guys are too harsh on Clyde. Fact is, Clyde isn't a bad commentator, he's actually average. 70% of color commentators are exactly like Clyde who phone it in with a stable one-liners. Just look at Mark Jackson, case in point. A standout commentator is a rare thing. And the casual audience, which comprise of most of the viewers and who only half-pay attention to the commentating, would prefer an NBA player with a big name.
i agree with everything you said except for the greg anthony mention, hes lame as hell other than that, yea they screwed calvin with no vaseline, clyde is HORRIBLE and bull is right there with him (anybody else noticed tha ugly ass laugh bullard does?) lol
The key now is to figure out how to make Clyde quit. Maybe make a sport out of clubbing baby seals? Or have a Gazette race? He'll be great for that. The Clydisms are funny and all at times, but I'd rather have a golf commentator than Clyde and Bull. Just keep quiet.

Who cares how the commentating is??? Would u really stop watching them because of some bad broadcasting?! The only good broadcaster i know of is Van Gundy!! Get off ur high horse and realize that even though u dont agree with some stuff he says, Mr. Clyde knows a heck of a lot more about basketball than u do!! PLEASE be a fan of some other team and bore them with ur ignorant remarks!!
Is there a problem with liking Clyde Drexler? You act like its worthy of scorn. Clyde Drexler is a Rockets all-time great. 1995 earned him the right to be a little annoying. Bullard on the other hand...
On a positive note Bill is amazing no matter who is sitting next to him. Remember him talking about two stepping with corn meal on the floor? Classic.

Wow, everyone forgets how Murphy used to regularly put his foot in his mouth. Drexler has been awful lately buy as always Bill is a class act. Don't mind the bad commentary buy Drexler's homer style lately has been bugging me. Used to pride the Houston telecast as being if not the best at least balanced.
Don't you think we should talk about basketball opinions instead of talking about the commentators... just my thoughts.. Don't you think ??
