"He puts up the shot, and nothing but MONEY."

I guess he was tired of saying "nothing but net."

That is one of the best lines ever. You can't argue with his success though. That guy played as hard as anyone. You know he would have pissed JVG off.

I think it was Kenny or Sam that said Clyde would not stretch or warm up at all and on the first play of the game, steal the ball and run straight down the court, and dunk. The guy was a freak of nature.

Bill: Now these teams are just hitting everything!

Clyde: The Basket is as big as a semi-circle.

    [pause]

Clyde: The Basket is as big as telestrator...

Bill: Clyde, are you just looking at things in the Toyota Center and saying that the basket is as big as them?

Clyde: The Basket is as big as... Foye.

Bill: Do you really think the basket is as big as Foye, or are you just saying it because you saw it?

Clyde : Big as Foye... Big as Foye.

I'm sure it's been mentioned somewhere in this thread, but here's the one that gets on my nerves the most for some reason...

Anytime there is a switch and a player posts up a smaller player, even if that defender is only an inch or two shorter, Clyde yells:

    Mouse in the house! HHAHAHAHA!

I think I would have died laughing if that was how the dialogue went. That would've been too clever.

Les Alexander, please bring back Calvin Murphy. He was much smarter than clyde, and he is wayyyyy funnier than clyde. His radio show cracks me up. Lets start a bring calvin back thread and see if that gets us anywhere.

He described someone's jumpshot as 'eloquent' rather than 'elegant.'

"He has such an eloquent shot!"

I think Bill and him have better chemistry though.

Bullard keeps making jokes in the form of a question, and Worrell doesnt know how to respond.

some comment about bill golfing poorly that doesn't fit

like if a shot rims out

bill: "a little too much english on that lay-in by Lowry"

clyde: "that is like your golf swing this morning bill ha ha ha"

then bill just agrees with Clyde and takes it

I remember during the game against Milwaukee when there were players from six different continents represented.

Clyde says "Now, we just need a player from Iceland..."

    I kid you not.
