I love it when he stays quiet.

DD, I noticed you haven't used the Yao quote about Vspan in a while. Did the Drexler quote about Rafer kind of kill it. :D

i will have to say that drexler has improved A LOT since the beginning of the season, he's actually saying stuff that is informative every once in awhile and just feels a lot more comfortable out there.

the last time a rox commentator said "pissed off" was calvin murphy during Rox VS knicks... glen rice hit a couple of back to back 3s and calvin blurted "SOMEONE MUST HAVE PISSED HIM OFF!" *silence* lmao :D i miss calvin :(

I heard it too and had to do a DVR check to be sure lol.

On a side note, I've noticed that while Clyde is generally a horrible commentator, he seems to do better when the team is struggling. I think it's because he actually watches the game more closely, gives more input (on what they're doing wrong and how to fix it), and isn't mr. overly positive. Far less "nothing but net" and "________ does it each and every night" type stuff when we're not winning.

Things like that are why I like Clyde as an announcer. That was hilarious. I also remember last year when someone got racked and he talked about getting "kicked right in the jewells". It was hilarious.

I recognize all of his faults as an announcer, but at the end of the day he seems likable, and comes out with gems like the one this thread is about. His Deke impression is also good.

Bill is the ultimate professional, so even if Clyde isn't the most polished original color commentator, the fact that he does come off as likable person, makes it good.

I'm not saying I prefer Clyde to Calvin, or even Van, but I don't hate him as an announcer the way a lot of people seem to.

Sometimes Drexler really has dumb things to say. Last night when they were talking about Lamarcus Aldridge and Span, he mentioned that its ok that they are having a bad season and they will learn and soon will join the all star rankings.......????? r u serious???

Clyde is worthless and hopeless. When you swing at enough pitches, you will hit one eventually. 99.9% of what he says is worthless drivel, complete nonsense or a repetitive cliche. He rarely adds insight into what's happening.

Clyde is cool. He's hired to be a color commentator foremost, game analyst second. I love Clyde. Stop hatin', Yo!

Actually, I have noticed a slight improvement with the Blazers telecast. He does seem to commentate a bit like Bill Walton, now that you mention it.

A funny thing about Clyde is when he impersonates Dikembe making him sound Jamaican. :)
