    You know, I run an online bookstore. Maybe I can find a Roget's Thesaurus for Clyde to help him expand his vocabulary!!

    Championships are good (pick one Clyde: wonderful, stupendous, awesome, tremendous, amazing) Bill.

    Or we could work on developing a more street cred list for Clyde:

    (controlled Clyde voice) Bill, this is cool! Really! Slammin'!

    Then we just need to get someone like Mr. T to come in and be Clyde's voice coach.

    I really hate to use words like hate but in this case hate will be an understatement for how I feel about Clyde in this regard. I have never heard a worse color guy in my life in any sport (mind you I have endured some of the worst soccer commentaries on earth).

    If he stays beyond this season, I will seriously consider not rooting for the Rox anymore - and yes it is that bad.

    On the contrary, Matt Bullard is growing by the minute on me. I sometimes find myself praying that Clyde resign or something similar so that Matt will do all the games. I never image that the value and contributions of the guys who do commentary will matter this much to me. For now I am in the enduring mode as far as Clyde is concerned.........

    P.S. Simulation issue prevents me from muting the TV and listening to the radio commentaries instead.

    I like Switzerland am neutral in this color comentator tug of war.

    Having said that I'm baffeled as to why every time I hear Clyde Drexler speak
    I picture Napoleon Dynamite sitting next to Bill Worrel. :eek:..... :D

    I don't mind Drexler, though I prefer Bullard. I never cared all that much for Calvin, though he's better than many local color guys.

    TBH, I just want them to stop being so damned positive. I was about to choke when they started bemoaning the fact that every team plays such good defense about us.

    I mean, I'm all for optimism - but when teams play "fantastic" D against you every game - no matter how poorly they played on D the day before or the day after - maybe it doesn't have much to do with them.

    Bill, "Clyde, that's the Stromile Swift we've all be waiting for!"

    Clyde, "Yes Bill ,comma, I couldn't agree with you more..that's the Stro we've all been waiting for, exclamation point with a smile! Like I said, he just needs more time.........er minutes."

    Bill, "thanks once again Clyde for your incredible game insights (aka 'I still can't believe they excommunicated my sidekick Calvin'"....man, I can't wait for the next road game.

    clyde repeats everything bill says.. just sometimes louder..

    remember at the end of game 5 in 1995 against the spurs, dream pulled up and hit that jumper from the left side, over robinson.. and calvin just started laughing.. and i counted.. 13 times!!

    i love calvin!!

    at first i liked Clyde better than Bullard.. what was i thinking?!?! Clyde is HORRIBLE, he has gotten better but is still the worst ever. He seems to take the safe route with everything he says without saying anything semi-controversal or sarcastic like bullard or calvin would.

    Calvin = :D
    Bullard = :p
    Drexler = :eek:

    If he doesn't have an old cliche to use he just repeats what Bill says. Clyde would be good for a basketball newcomer who's just there to watch the game not really caring or trying to learn the game, but as far as giving insight he is a horror show. I never thought id be anxious to play on the road just to hear Bullard. Getting Van back would be humungous.

    you know... Bill flying solo on the game call might be better than the current fare.
    Growing up in AZ back in the '70s-early '80s, Al McCoy worked alone for the Suns for years... and did so as a radio/TV simulcaster. Yeah, it wasn't the age of giant money, but it worked pretty well with the product on the floor.

    im with you on this one.. i think every game he compares tmac with glide all the damn time. like, everytime tmac makes a good play, bill's gonna be like "just like what you (clyde) used to do before" or "that's a clyde move right there". it annoys the sh*t outta me..

    My only real issue with the Clyde/Bill tandem is Bill's nonstop praise of Drexler. We all know he was great and we all love what he did for the city, but do we have to rehash it EVERY game?
