No doubt thats his ultimate goal. He would have had a much better shot, IMO, if he had hung around as UH's coach for a few more years.
I would love to see Clyde try as comeback, but under certain conditions. Come into training camp without a contract and earn your way onto the team. Play the first month to determine your value. If you stay healthy, are fit, and are a valuable part of the team the 4 to 5 million per year willbe there.
He said he would not go back to UH to coach. He was indicating he didn't have a good chance of success cuz he didn't even have any division I players
So he shouldn't have been savoring the last moments of his storied 15 year career? I know it's hard to believe, but there are more important things in life than beating the Jazz.
With Bob Sura down for possibly a while you never know. I still think theirs a beyond slim chance for it to happen though.
