problem is he wont get a chance to be a top5 scorer on this team, he'll be underused and will be more of a spot up shooter/occasional slasher, i would rather have rip and prince, who can use their abilities to the fullest next to yao, unlike Tmac....
I hope he can come back with a healthy body. But we all know that it is not easy... I guess rockets will let his contract run to the end and will try to trade battier if can re-sign artest.
wait a minute, why are we still thinking detroit will give sus tayshaun and rip??? They too are FAs next summer like tmac aren't they? We had some leverage back when tmac was "healthy" and detroit wanted some changes, but now it makes no sense to trade them for someone whos also going to be a FA....
prince and rip is not FA... prince is not young and cannot play with energy like several years ago. i like prince but i dont think we really need him now.
they are free agents NEXT summer, just like tmac... and tayshaun is young enough to be a part of this team's core, we definitely need him, why wouldnt we? Don't you want a SF who rebounds very well? Who gets a block a game? who can score 20+ on any given night? Who's a good defender? who has been deep in the playoffs?
Hamilton signed a 3 year extension earlier this season that expires in 2013. Prince has 2 years left and will be a free agent in 2011.
humm, maybe i was looking at a page that was incorrect, but rip is still a FA in 2010, and prince in 2011 and yes prince will be 30, in 2011, i was tlaking about his age as of now though...
keep tmac's contract until it expires. wait for the opportune moment.... drop tmac or sign him for a significantly smaller salary. resign yao after his contract goes away. pick up DWade over summer 2010. that is all.
