Come on. It was obvious Zach didn't have the "look" for Sportscenter. It was only a matter of time before he was booted. It doesn't mean I'm happy about it, but it was expected. I think Mike has jumped Aaron tonight (so far)... Aaron was my prediction from week 1.
Is this really neccessary?? This quiz show crap is what ESPN tried in the 80's, and I see it on ESPN classic every now and then. America doesn't care to see who "knows more" about sports, or who has a quicker trigger finger... they want to see how they can speak in front of a camera, or interview, or converse, or just be funny. Once again, this is something that should have been done EARLIER to weed people out, not for the finale.
Aaron should win it. Mike's voice just doesn't fit. I thought Zach shoulda won. Seemed like the most tv friendly guy.
Yea, but Aaron has no personality, charisma, and his ad-libbing is not as good as Mike's. If Mike's "voice" is his worst asset, I could live with that... but as it plays out, his voice seems just fine.
stick of gum? i think he's trying to hard to be funny. i would have liked to have seen zach with ravich.
Isn't Mike actually a journalism student at Mizzou (I know he goes to Mizzou, which is a VERY good Journ. program, but I don't know if that's what he's doing). Aaron is also an intern at a sports station in Cali... looks like they went with experience over amateurs for the final.
I was hoping Aaron would ask about Carmello pulling a Scottie Pippen. That producer talking in the ear is STRESSFUL from my couch!
Mikes got it. Aaron bombed on the interview, and he got a lifeless Carmelo to interview who was doing his best Jamiroqui impression.
i like aaron's voice a lot. i judge them by not watching the television, but by just listening and seeing which anchor keeps my attention the best. mike did a damn good job, i thought he did better on the live interview though.
that producer talking thing is tough.. I could'nt even pay attention to the guy being interviewed with the producer talking
