Yikes. Aaron fumbled that away. Too many mistakes, not enough passion for a huge play in a playoff game, and questioned about a flag DURING the play... that never happens in real life... if a commentator questions a play, he does it AFTER the play is over...
You're right Nick. PBP and "Sportscenter" seems to require different skills. I don't see much of a correlation.
I hope somebody tells Maggie that she's really around due to more of the luck of the draw (and the lack of females) rather than her talent. Because, if she tries to make a career out of this (as she's alluded to because of her success here), she might fail terribly. I cringe for her more than I would a local sports anchor... let alone a national one.
I thought Maggie was the best last week. That is why she is still around. Tony said it himself that he was judging her week by week and that it hurt him to cut the short dude.
Exactly... but if everybody was judged solely by their last game, we'd have chaos everywhere. Maggie has been consistently mediocre, and its dumb luck that the others have faltered when it mattered most, and she sucked a little less.... I'd be shocked if she survives the cut to two.
Aaron was excellent in PTI. But he still hasn't shown us his personality. It felt like Bob Ley doing PTI or something...
Funny I was thinking about that as well... and the fact that Bob Ley has the most tenure of any sportscenter anchor right now. He could do a lot worse than being the next Bob Ley.
As an aspiring Sportscenter anchor, being the next Bob Ley is just fine. But it doesn't work in a PTI situation. He seems like he'd do good on an Outside the Lines type of show... straight up news and interviewing, little commentary. Zach is up next. I expect him to do VERY well.

Mike has excelled tonight... but didn't expect Aaron to get the nod over Zach. In fact, all three are pretty good... too bad America couldn't provide better competition, as I don't know if its just because the others were so so bad, or these three are just that good.

Zach being cut is about the most lowdown thing that could have happened. It is kinda like a girl flirting her ass off with you. Hitting on you and all. Then at the last moment kissing the *******. They were just string zach along for the ratings. They suck for it!
