I wasn't making the relationship you're suggesting at all. Obviously everyone has help. Someone else tried to detract from Green and Pippen's success by saying they had good teammates, while ignoring the fact Russell had good teammates too. You don't win 11 rings with Russell as your primary scorer, so you surround him with people who can. Doesn't mean he wasn't good. But it's not blasphemy to say he could possibly be overrated in an 8 team league where all the best players were on one team.... The league today is better, more lucrative thus more competitive with more players from all over the world, than ever before..
