Kanter is very soft, can dominate all big mans today. For me, rebounding is defense.
if Kanter can grab 15 boards (4 offensive), he is a good defender.

I am pretty impressed with Denver's Jokic. And Giannis is not bad.

All due respect to the man for his IQ and the way he plays the game, but it's time we bring him down to size.

First thing for James Harden is to stop playing tic-tac-toe with him. James is the best tic-tac-toe player in the league: he'll set up the board and punish: "oh, you blocked this row, great, here's my column... or the diagonal... please come again." You take the step-back, here's the drive and the floater, you take the drive, here's the lob...

The problem is that tic-tac-toe is unwinnable if the defense doesn't make a mistake. And Draymond doesn't make mistakes. He hedges his positioning perfectly to foil all options. OK, kudos, to him! However, I am reading articles, I am listening to people and OMG, is that Hakeem Olajuwon we are talking about? Dikembe Mutombo? Who is this All-World defensive Center? At 6-7, poor athlete, second-round pick? Come on guys, stop the hagiography and the lionization!

So back to James: stop playing tic-tac-toe, just go straight at the guy and destroy him, man! Yes, he's not giving you a clean option: how about you go straight at him and stuff his head in the basket? Less AI, more IA. Less Artificial Intelligence more Irrational Aggression. Find your inner Westbrook. This is what this match-up requires.

Second thing: more Nene. I read today a quote from Draymond "At least we are not playing Shaq". True. But Nene is 6-11 and thick. Draymond is 6-7 and playing 40 mpg. Give out some punishment, it will pay off.

Finally, regarding his offensive playmaking. It's pretty good, he's doing the right reads. But there is a very good reason he's finding all these guys - Igoudala, Looney, Livingston - for open dunks and layups; The Rockets' defense has to overload against three of the best offensive players in history. GSW is redirecting through Green and finding what the defense gives. I'm reading these articles, and OMG, is that LeBron James or Magic Johnson we are talking about? Come on, guys!

What I want to see is if he gets punished with drives to the rim and Nene's interior game, if we exact a physical toll on him, will these reads still be there, as crisp and as accurate as now? What was the name of that legendary Oilers' Defensive Coordinator who famously said: "it's hard to make an accurate pass when you have tears in your eyes." ?

This is a battle, guys, that we need to win, not exactly a board game. Draymond Green is not losing the board-game part, but he's not all that. Let's pop this bubble.

Yeah, but better than Draymond Green? The 3rd best player on a 57-win team? C'mon man, be reasonable...

... But seriously, Dray, as much of a b!tch as he is, might be the best the league has at defending the post. Either him or Gobert, though I think of Gobert as more of a help defender than an on-ball one, whereas Green can do both. And might also be the single best P&R defender in the league.

I do not care what anyone says...Draymond Green is an incredible basketball player. He is the warriors engine. Everything he brings to the court is of A+ quality, expect for his attitude at times.

He is someone you love to have on your team...but hate to play against.

We need more people like him on our team.

I hear you...but the fact of the matter is...he is all that....he is everything the warriors need to be a powerhouse.. He is extermely talented...and not only that...he is extremely smart and gritty.

Oh what i would give to have him as our small ball 5.

lol he would have lost all his powers playing as a rocket
if he were to be officiated fairly he would be a liability

or just imagine dray being officiated as dwight howard was?
    lol
all draymond powers come with the refs and refs only

Draymond prefers to stop the lob to Clint than stop a Harden dunk/layup

He needs to be taken out. You can't have one player free to run around kicking players in the balls, scratching their eyes etc.

I didnt read OP because I'm at work, I'm sorry.

I just wanted to say this.

I hope Gerald goes out there for 3-4 minutes, and while on the court Draymond does something foul.

That way Gerald can straight run up and double forearm push him in the chest and level him to the ground.

    Suspension or ejection be damned.
