25mil for 82games = 300K per game. He's at most getting fined just 200k per, so he's still making 100k per game doing nothing. Should be ZERO.
NBA suspends Draymond Green indefinitely, cites 'repeated history' - ESPN Green will be docked $153,941 per game if his suspension is fewer than 20 games and $202,922 per game if more than 20 games.
Yeah, I saw something about how he only even loses 200K/game if he misses 20 or more games, and it's 150K/game if it's less than that. I could swear they used to lose full pay for suspended games, but either something changed, or I misremember. I agree, should be zero... Especially for such egregious violations. EDIT: Unless there are other stipulations in that $25M, like he only gets it if he plays some percentage of the year or something? In which case he's indirectly still losing more.
The interesting part of his therapy is that his triggers are unavoidable. His job is to be at war every day. It's un-escapable. But not only that, he triggers others to gain an advantage. This is gonna be interesting to see how long he can go without incident. It typically takes 2 months of therapy for the average, but he should be able to fast track it given he has nothing else to do but go to sessions. The NBA seems to be using Therapy and treatment as a means to avoid pissing off the association, pacify the media, and come out clean on the other side. It seems to have worked in both cases ( Ja ). But it's still setting an "eye test" precedent where they can do whatever they want under the guise of therapy.
GSW is struggling, what do you expect? Silver is trying to milk the golden cow to the last drop for ratings.
Kerr said he hadn't heard from Green the whole time he was out. The league suddenly change the story?
