I mean, KD said that the Pippen incidence in "The Last Dance" reminded him of this beef with DG, and he had wished that there would be some cleaning act in the locker room like the Bulls did back then. If that is the case, why didn't he speak up in the locker room then? What is the FO supposed to do? KD is a diva.
Rockets Ride or Die but ain't nuttin wrong with liking other players. Fans forget despite money and fame some of these guys are just regular dudes.
I think Pippen reference is shade on Kerr for always using his dumb Jordan groupie stories to "motivate his players into the next level". Gotta give Dray credit as an interviewer. He really layered his own point of view (without even directly apologizing) and it makes you notice what KD says and didn't say. I get the impression KD feels he's owed his diva status as 2x champ and former MVP and there was a pecking order FO should've made clearer...in that the whole team would group hug KD for the mean comments made by someone who's been there way longer. Dray was more like, I was mostly right about you leaving, but I said that stuff in the heat of passion....yall know I do dumb **** in the heat of passion right? So no one liked the suspension because KD wanted explicit backing and his ego stoked, and FO didn't fully give it to him because they probably felt the same way Dray felt about KD leaving?-not-leaving and dragged on making any moves. KD liked the playing a role he didn't have to think too deep into but wanted Harden level attention. The Bay geeks didn't know how to that pull off because each starter had hard pulls. He deserves whatever he gets from fans but it's not like he's wrong either. It's easier to see his pov when you look at the blank checks Brooklyn is throwing at the Big 3.
I can't help to be in "Team Dray", regarding this particular case. But I do wonder why no other player has spoken up inside the locker room *hust* Steph* *hust*
