I'm a tanker and I'm sad too. Tanking doesn't mean let good young players go for nothing so you can lose more games. You keep the good young players and let the old ones go and don't trade for old players like Dalembert, Camby, etc. This move sucks from every angle - except Le$'s.

Let's see our roster a few months from now, then we'll talk. There's still a chance to turn this thing around.

If they are tanking, they aren't doing it right. Maybe Mr MIT needs a Tanking 101 course - Find good young players and keep them or trade them for better young players. Don't let them go for nothing while you chase marketing players.

well Good for dragic... you cant blame the guy for wanting more money and a starting job... lol @ the posters saying he needs to be loyal and hoping for bad things to happen to him stay classy....no one would take less money to be a possible back up...and if you say you would you are a liar. Yes it would have been nice to keep him but even if we did we arent winning anything anytime soon. It's better to get chemistry going between our young players and get future picks and hope for the best... as for the guys saying screw the rockets or im following a different team please leave we dont need your crying and complaining becuase its only going to get worse. Go Rockets.

Sure. And one could have said the exact same thing a few months ago, a few weeks ago, a few days ago. With all due respect, there are times that such statements carry little meaning. In my opinion, this is one of those times.

The only drama missing is to fire McHale and/or Morey midway through the season.

I guess we are about to see how well Royce White can guard PGs...

If either A. Dragic was going to come back to Houston, or B. Lin was going to get signed, its going to be as a backup PG, getting paid what a high calliber backup PG would make in the NBA.

This negotion process made me believe that the Rockets front office still views Lowry as worthy of being their starter going forward, and are not knee jerk reacting to his statements made earlier in the offseason. Good for them. Lowry has a much more proven PG than the other two guys despite their popularity over the past few months.

-Also, I do believe the Rockets did have interest in moving Lowry, but only if they were bringing back great value. Obviously there wasn't a huge market out there for Lowry on draft day since there were other PG's about to hit the market days later, and the Rockets did not want to risk losing Lowry for bad value in a trade + risking not being able to sign Dragic if he chooses to go elsewhere anyways. They chose the less risky route to stick with Lowry. Simple as that.

The Suns have agreed to a four-year, $30 million deal with free agent point guard Goran Dragic, that includes a player option and bonus options that could make it worth $34 million

The Rockets have reportedly made an offer to Jeremy Lin for 4 four years, $30 million backloaded.

    Ummm

    No great loss.

All you guys talking about Gogi this and that was way too tween-girlish for me.

Look on the bright side - there's an offer out to another flash in the pan scoring PG.

um bro, I'm pro-Lowry and thought that retaining him was the best option all along. But it's clear that things must be really bad between him and the organization or we wouldn't have just offered Lin a $30 mil contract.

Agreed. Gogi played great for us, but he's not a superstar.

Not sure if you realize the Rockets still have a PG on their roster named Kyle Lowry.

If he plays like he did for half of a season last year, you are right: they'll regret this for the next 3 years perhaps. maybe.

I think the Rox are going with an Oakland A's model full tilt now.
