Until he quit on 11-25-2005. Biggest game of his college career and Weagie just quit. Quitters don't get drafted as QB's and they sure as hell don't get drafted in day 1.
Not a rumor. Watch the game and see Maroon 1, thats him in blue jeans with the tucked in aTm shirt, jumping up and down on the sidelines as Maroon 15 leads the team to another moral victory.
Hate is a strong word. My intentions are to simply offer a sobering elixir to the maroon Kool-Aid all aggys bathe in. Case in point: Quarterbacks moving to receiver – There are at least three quarterbacks that are going to be forced to wide receiver because of accuracy issues: Texas A&M's Reggie McNeal, Penn State's Michael Robinson and Missouri's Brad Smith. But none of those guys took reps at the position, despite being encouraged to do so by coaches. Robinson didn't even work out, severely agitating a number of teams. These passers may not like the reality that they can't be NFL quarterbacks, but that's exactly what it is – reality. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_y...YcB?slug=cr-combine022806&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
McNeal was injured and was not physically able to play the game. As a senior McNeal wanted to play in his last game at Kyle Field. Especially since it was against UT and his good friend Vince Young.
Much like how all people support their teams. Of course I am biased towards reggie, much like longhorns are biased towards radio. The article is garbage, he will be a QB. The writer for yahoo is an idiot
ps- you are the bigtexx A&M edition, you come and hate on all things aggie. You even use the word aggy. What a loser!! I should call you a TSIP or say TU, but I don't because its lame.
Not according to the aggie haters and even some aggie reggie haters. Many aggies threw him under a bridge and fell in love with Mcgee.
you do realize that's the same author who wrote the article criticizing vince young; the same article you posted in the sticky thread as a basis for your arguement... right?
lol, the spin is hilarious in case you forgot: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=2208143&postcount=1710
I watched him his last three years here at A&M. Reggie has the arm strength and accuracy to be an NFL quarterback in my opinion, but he does'nt have enough touch at this point. He always seemed to throw the ball 100 miles per hour at a reciever whether the reciever was 5 yards away or 30 yards away. He also is elusive but not as much as VY or Mvick, and does get injured too much to be effective all the time. However how much of that was his fault and how much that was the fault of the coaching staff and young reciever core his senior year is unknown. I personally blame the coaches, when they moved to an offense that relied heavily on the option he struggled but in a pro style offense I really believe he could thrive. He is a pass first quarterback which is hard to believe due to his speed but that is when he is most effective. Taking 3-5 step drops and then deciding whether to throw or run would really take advantage of his strengths.
You obviously went to A&M or really like them, its obvious you watched the games. I agree with everything you said. I blame the coaches and inexperienced wrs for the majority of his struggles this year
If he is still available late, we should go after him because of his athleticsm. I am glad he is outa Aggieland. I'm excited to see how Mcgee will do from now on.
I don't know about you Up, but my opinion was always that the rest of the team played harder under McGee than they did Reggie. It was like they expected Reggie to do it all.
