Plenty of opportunities to go running, for sure. And I've been there for several weeks at a time for work. It's a cesspool and not difficult to argue that it's the worst major metropolitan area in the US. I can only think of a small handful of other cities that are in the running. Suburbs are nice though.
As one who has many family members that live in Detroit I can certifiably say that it sucks-- especially now. The entire town -- and the state, for that matter -- put all of its eggs in one basket: the auto industry. Ever since the auto industry began it's steady decline the town has shrunk into a cesspool. I'm actually going up there this weekend. There are some areas of Detroit in which police won't even stop for red lights. It sucks. The entire city is GHETTO. That being said, there are a few nice places to live. I'm sure McLazy will buy a home in Farmington Hills or something... that is, IF the pistons are stoopid (note the spelling) enough to sign him.
The Pistons don't play anywhere near downtown Detroit. The area they play in is actually one of the wealthiest in the entire country. It's millionaire central.
@PDcavsinsider: #Cavs recently worked out Tracy McGrady, sources say. Just a look, he's not likely to be offered a contract
Well you may have family there but I live there and the whole city isn't ghetto we do have a hand full of nice areas. And to say the whole state suck you really don't know what you're talking about.

I don't even get why there is a debate about the city of Detroit as far as T-mac playing there. A)He's there to play basketball not party. B)I'm sure he can find a rich area to live in. C)He will be on the road half of the time D)He does not have to spend the rest of his life there.
So I was feeling nostalgic and came across this video, and WOW it made me LOL. It pretty much sums up T-Mac's career in one quick moment. Keep your eye on the 0:40 mark. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Hn2I5mXIQqU&hl=en_US&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Hn2I5mXIQqU&hl=en_US&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
TMAC to Detroit is a go according to Adrian Wojo from Yahoo, can't post the tweet right now so someone please verify.
I hope he gets it back together, but the fact that no playoff teams even considered giving him a serious go....should be humbling for him. Hopefully, he gets healthy and has a chip on his shoulder. DD
After impressing Pistons president Joe Dumars, coach John Kuester and the Detroit training staff in a workout late last week, the Pistons became more serious about signing the free-agent forward. ??
