This is why I love this team. Everybody has something to prove, even James Harden. I bet you every day that he wants to show that he's as good as Kevin Durant, and waaay better than Westbrick.

"Never underestimate the heart of a champion" seems fitting here.

That's what I'm talking about. It shows when he plays.

I read it at Smith-speed. Words kept jumbling together but it was still discernible/legible strangely.

I honestly doubted this guy and just thought he was another busty big man but he proved me wrong. He's still so young and going to improve his game, I'm excited for our future.

Are the Rockets the new Bad News Bears?

For those of you who don't know what they are, the Bad News Bears was a team of a bunch of misfits who all had some problems individually but as a group, the team was very successful

    1. Harden- Was a perennial six man who complained about not enough shots during a playoff game that they won. Has a lot to prove in being the # 1 guy.

    2. Lin- The undrafted dleague player who was cut twice

    3. Asik- 2nd rounder who played around 10 mins a game.

    4. Parsons- The 2nd rounder

    5. Morris- Who? exactly

    6. Delfino- The journey man whom many say whoms best years are behind him

    7. Douglas- The Knicks scrub who no one wanted

    8. Greg Smith- Undrafted rookie who is 6"10. Seems odd he went undrafted

But together, they make the 2012 Houston Rockets whom are 20 and 14!!!!

Reflecting back to out last roster cut preseason, more than 1/2 GARM wanted to him out. IICR it was the last preseason game when TJones couldn't guard Baby Davis and Smith came and did a tremendous job.

That was probably the turning point of his career. Coaches knew then what they had in Smith. Without Smith, Rockets will not be where they are now.

He sure came a long way.

    Couldn't agree more!
When I was looking at this year's Houston Rockets Media Guide, I was more impressed by the In Transactions info on Lin and Livingston that were longer than others'. The history of being undrafted, assigned to DL, multiply waived and picked up looked way more glorious than 3 columns of Kevin Martin's NBA career achievement. (I'm sure Martin's a great player.)
I really love these guys that are working hard to show to themselves and to the world that they truly appreciate what live has given them.
