The tickets are so ghetto, you could just make fakes and pass them out...

Looking at the draft projections, I'm surprised UConn didn't at least get to the NCAA Finals.

It will be revealed that Lisa Milowsky was actually born a man, and Calvin Murphy will return, not as a color commentator but as Turbo.

Seriously, was there an alternate jersey announced?

I would like to get some more feedback in here from people that were at the party....sounds like things got pretty tense.

That "party" was a complete waste of time. You get there early to get autographs....guess who is there? Well lets just say, when I look at the player(s) giving autographs and don't know who they are.....they must be crappy. After they let us in at 5:30 we immediatetly got in a line for autographs. We stood there until 6:00, the line finally starts moving, and it's some guy named Tom Henderson and another guy that played for us in the 70's signing autographs. The best part about it was when that other guy was signing for me, he realized they had spelled his name wrong on the card in front of him! They put Jeff instead of John. It was a white guy, that's about all I can tell you about him. I know Rodney McCray was there signing as well, but after we got the first 2, we said screw this.

The only positive part I saw was the Rockets shop with some great deals. Pants that are normally $73 for $10, hats for $5, and a lot of other great deals. Oh, and even Swift jersies (sp?) for only $10!!!! Yeah, I couldn't help but laugh when I heard we traded Swift that night....

After missing the first 4 picks because I stood in line for drinks for about 40 minutes, I get back and anxiously await the Rockets pick. It gets to #6 and I see Brandon Roy go, but no biggie, Rudy Gay is still available. #7 comes up and I'm just praying that they don't take Gay. It's announced Foye was picked and everyone goes crazy knowing we're going to get Rudy Gay. The Rockets pick him and everyone goes crazy again. Not long after that, they announce the proposed trade and everyone starts booing.

One of the best parts was when CD came to talk about it, and everyone kept asking questions about the trade and kept booing. He had to say over and over that he could not talk about the trade, just Rudy Gay. He even said once that he regretted coming down to talk about it. Well DUH!! Why do we want to hear you say good stuff about a guy 85% of Rockets fans wanted, only to see you trade him away?

As soon as I heard about that trade I just shook my head knowing that this is typical Rockets. They seem to find a way to screw up almost (yes I know we've had some good picks, Hakeem, Horry, Cassell, Francis, I guess Head)every draft, so this was expected. I was just dying to call my ticket rep right there and tell him I've had enough of this bs and to cancel my season tickets, but I know in the long run I'll still be a fan either way.

That was pretty much the jist of the party. I actually had class yesterday night, and missed class in order to attend the party. My penalty for missing class? I now have to write a 3 page paper.......it was definitely not worth it!

I wonder what the return policy on those $10 Swift jerseys say. Maybe theres a disclaimer on the back of the reciept.

    "No Refunds or Exchanges"

    1. Does anyone know what was in the "black box?" Was it just the new ball design?

    2. What was the "Rocket Draft Suprise?" Seriously, folks, I'm just as pissed as everyone else, but, do we have new alt jerseys or what?

    Thanks

    1. Yes, it was the new ball.

    2. I'm still waiting to find out what the surprise was too.
