This is what I see as well. Either we trade one or two of those picks away for a later-year pick or we package 2 and maybe a player to get a higher pick. Hot damn, things just got interesting! ------------------ Yugo grills, Yugo mills, Check out the oil my Yugo spills...
there is no way the rockets keep all 3 picks. Cap room and roster space make that a problem. But we can start looking at teams that are really short on talent, say Golden State. Trades like Cato, Kenny and all three picks for Jamison and their #1 become fun to think about ------------------
This is really good news. I knew the Rockets might have 3 draft picks, but I always thought they'd end up with 2. Really good news. ------------------ PrEsident of The Danforth Langhford FAN CLUB... He IS our future All-Star Small Forward
Nah, really good news would have been watching them in the playoffs, instead we have to talk draft...BAH !!! DaDakota ------------------ If you like RTS games, check out this one. www.frontierwars.com coming soon to a PC near you.
Does this mean that there is an outside chance at a 4th pick or was there a dealine to declare that sort of thing? ------------------
do you ever go into a record store, get really anxious and all of a sudden have to poo? that's what just happened to me... 18th pick!!!! atgghghghg!! brb. ------------------ women love me, fish fear me.
Hope everything came out OK, Achebe. #13, #18, #22. Wow. Looking good. As someone said, keep an eye on Vancouver. And other lotto teams: Chicago; Detroit; Atlanta; Washington; New Jersey. If we draft, we do well. If we trade up, we do well. If we trade for a major-ass rebounder/shot blocker, we do well. Let's see, that's a...win, win, win situation. But we won't add three rooks to the team. ------------------
Do yall remember the last time we had several first round draft picks right around each other? We used the players we drafted to bring a certain point guard over who is quickly becoming the best point guard in the league... I predict big things for those draft picks. ------------------ Watch out for gay Limbo Dancers.
Yup! I remember. Hopefully we won't miss out on a Rashard this year. ...yeah, yeah, we got Francis, but as we all foresaw that happening ------------------ Yugo grills, Yugo mills, Check out the oil my Yugo spills...
So this year we have to deal w/ a Michael Dickerson, a Bryce Drew and a Mirsad Turkcan? I was hoping for a stronger move. Thanks Roxtxia, it all worked out in the end. Perhaps the scatological subtlety escapes me, but could you clear up the following : (1) what kind of god awful, loaf-pinching noise is 'atgghghghg' ?! (2) is it the records or your excitement level that causes you to poo in record stores ? Thanks for the clarification ------------------ word to your mother
I can't believe I missed this ... Don't be so hard on yourself ... some moves are looser than others. ------------------ word to your mother
1) it's the anxious sound. 2) one in the same. butt enough about me. ------------------ women love me, fish fear me.
If the Bucks go to the championship doesn't their pick climb to the 29th pick? I'm a Bucks fan but if thats the case not this year. ------------------
Fortunately no -- it's based on NBA regular season record only. ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET
What do you think about this trade: Chicago, we'll give you our 18th and 22nd pick in the draft if you'll let us give you Cato ;-) ------------------ Founding Father of the Refs Suck Club
I like it! (But they would never go for it... ) ------------------ Watch out for gay Limbo Dancers. [This message has been edited by RunninRaven (edited April 25, 2001).]
Not sure about that one, but I hope we can somehow package our last two picks for a top 5 - 10 pick and we still have #13. To me, that would be the best way to go. SF, then C or best PF available. ------------------ It's my way or the highway!
