Pretty much, yeah. Remember how you used to drone on with bad takes and how I'd give you a dose of reality? Pretty much doing that same thing again and just like with you, I'm sure once I'm proven right that person will be upset about it. It's a vicious cycle. I remember Jets fans getting absolutely furious with me when I was telling them Mark Sanchez wasn't a good QB a few years ago. Every year there's some bad take I'm arguing with.

Yeah. I did. He had 13 good games with the Eagles, but other than that he was essentially a RB pretending to be a QB.

Sorry fellas. I've stayed clear of these threads for the most part. I'll stop now. Just giving my .02 cents.

Well, maybe you could say he had 20 or so games in a row where he was a pretty good QB with the Eagles, but 20 games does not a career make.

That's different than saying he was never really a good QB. His career obviously got derailed but at his peak, he was a really good QB.

Yes, and I wasn't impressed with a QB with a 53.8% completion percentage and a 75.7 QB rating who threw almost as many interceptions as TD's. Pretty impressive rushing stats though. Like I said, a RB pretending to be a QB.

At his best, which lasted 2o games or so when he was with the Eagles, he was a solid QB. IMO he was never a "good" QB.

You can't argue with passing stats about a QB whose greatest strength is running the ball. He took those average passing stats to the NFC Championship game. Would have done more if not for injuries and stupidity that led to a jail term.

    Hey Now!

I'm not sure how you know (or think you know) McNair's itinerary, but they are not sure if they are trading the pick. He doesn't make travel plans like the average Joe. His assistant could call his pilot and he could be wheels up in an hour.

No hotel? No problem. He would just head back to the airport after the #1 pick, fly back to Houston, fall asleep on the plane, hitch a ride home in his private car with his personal driver, and be in bed by 1 am.

Going to NYC is no big deal to Bob McNair.

Did he say they "wouldn't" or "won't". Big difference.

Unless your source is Cal or Bob McNair, Rick Smith, or Bill O'Brien, I can tell you "wouldn't" is 100% wrong.

Again, he was essentially a RB pretending to be a QB when he was with the Falcons and using "just winz" to defend him isn't the best way to approach a debate. The obvious counter is to talk about Mark Sanchez and how he took the Jets to back to back AFC Championship games.

Are you sure you watched football before 2009? If you think Vick's impact on the falcons is comparable to Sanchez's impact on the jets, i doubt it.

Of course Vick's "just winz" was better than Sanchez's "just winz"....

Judging QB's based on the the success of their team is incredibly flawed.

I didnt catch the full discussion but Bobby are you saying Sanchez is better than Vick??? C'mon man. Sanchez hid behind a very solid Jets defense those 2 seasons. Vick carried the Falcons to the playoffs several times with average weapons. Gave the Packers their first ever postseason loss at home.
