[Draft Express] Vince Carter-Gilbert Arenas swap in the works?

Otis Smith and Arenas are very good pals.. looks like Otis wants to save Gilbert's career.

arenas played pretty well last year even though he didn't have the time to get into a steady rythm which he needed since he hadn't played in over a year. he had the whole year off (sort of) and since he's one of the hardest working players in the league, i'm pretty sure he didn't waste the time off. so he might be useful

This isn't going to happen and I can promise you that. Washington is trying to rebuild and they would have to take on either Nelson, Bass or Gortat's contract. They pretty much gutted out their team last season when they traded Jamison and Butler. I just can't see them taking back additional salaries...

If Orlando was interested in Arenas, they would have to find someone that would trade for Nelson. Nelson is a solid player when healthy but he can't seem to keep himself together.

Well atleast if Arenas brings his gun into the Magic locker room, Superman will be there to save the day. We could call Arenas "Lex Luther" :grin:

 

I followed Arenas pretty close last year and he was starting to play pretty good before he was suspended. Arenas can play. He had two bad years due to injury but I think he can be a very solid player for a team. Does he have a bad contract? Yes but he's better than what Carter or Nelson can bring to the Magic. I just don't see this trade happening.

 

Im just saying he cant stay on the court.. As soon as he is healthy enough to play he gets suspended. It was really hidden sarcasm, because I like Arenas

 

is he a better choker than Vince Carter?

Half-Man, Half-A-Season like Kenny called him. Doesn't matter if he only shows up half a season due to injuries or because he folds under pressure, VC can only give you half a season's worth of good basketball at a time.
