Their picks, our assets ..... the permutations are endless. Morey may melt his CPU.

I'd trade Hill, Budinger, #14, and the Knicks' picks to move up for Cousins.
Then I'd sign & trade Scola with Battier, Taylor, and Lull's rights for Bosh.
To finish, sign Mike Miller with the MLE.

    PG: Brooks/Lowry
    SG: Martin/Miller
    SF: Ariza/Harris
    PF: Bosh/Cousins/Jeffries
    C: Yao/Andersen/Hayes

With a front line of Bosh, Yao, and Cousins we could easily match up the Lakers or anyone else.

No thank you, the negatives outweigh any benefits from drafting him. The only reason why I think Morey would target him is because hes perceived as a blue-chip player by some teams around the league, and he would be used as trade bait to land Bosh.

I see one of the rockets veteran core players getting moved in that deal as well. If Im not mistaken the Timberwolves passed on Hill twice last year in the draft in taking Flynn and Rubio.

I have seen no indications that Bosh has any intention of coming to Houston.

Minnesota is a great trade partner for this reason. They seem to need wings, we seem to have them in bunches. They have a pair of really good interior big men who are average athletes (Love, Jefferson), and the rights to the pick where BPA is likely to be another one (Cousins), and we happen to have a guy an athletic big who was a lotto pick just a year ago (Hill).

Throw in the rights to (Dakota falls in faint) Rubio, as well as the rights to Pekovic, plus these late picks, and there could be some interesting conversations.

This. I'd put the chances around 5% at this point.

This is off a Minn board:

"I don't see it for either team.

The Rockets have Yao, Ariza, Martin, and Brooks as their best trade chips.

Yao - Injured, expensive, and poor fit. I doubt that the Rockets would offer him up, either, because he's such a cash cow do to the Chinese connection.

Ariza - We already have Brewer and could draft Johnsons and/or George.

Martin - Kahn has already stated that he doesn't like his contract.

Brooks - We have Flynn, Sessions, and hopefully Rubio. We don't need another young PG.

Detroit pretty much only has Prince and their pick.

It's kind of been established that Prince + 7 = Jefferson (though for some reason Detroit fans have backed away from this trade in the last couple weeks). It's also been fairly well established that Jefferson < 4. So, Prince + 7 < 4."

btw my comparison of Cousins is a taller version of Al Jef.

    Chad Ford just tweeted this:

Another strong workout for Cousins in NJ today vs. Favors. He shot the lights out again. From what I gather it's now a toss-up in NJ @ 3

    Smokescreen.

I'm thinking Morey will trade our #14 and some asset(s) for the other 2 Minny's picks (not #4).

has anyone mentioned this guy's vertical??? He dunks like Artest, pure arms, very little lift. I wouldnt be surprised if Yao's vertical matched his

Seriously though, that can be an issue. He's going into a much taller league that plays more above the rim, that's only going to affect him negatively. I'm not impressed by him at all...he reminds me of Big baby, a taller version of course, but that's not worth a #4. When he runs his body looks some what of out control, like his mind is pushing him, but the body isn't quite there...i fear his activity is due to his youth and just being eager to play and with time he's going to slow down...and i don't mean when he's 40, but as he's approaching 30, which happens naturally, but i think in his case it'll be more significant and that's going to be the difference between him being an all-star most of his career or only 1-3 times.

obviously i hope i'm wrong if we do acquire him....

freakin kahn this is all just a purposed leak from the wolves camp to start a bidding war between the pistons and rockets

i am sure morey isnt going to play that game at all he will sit down and calmly make another move forcing kahn's hand otherwise

If we got Cousins, I would go number three in my pants.

He reminds me of everything Eddie Griffin could have been. :(

I know that's not a great compliment, but when Eddie came out of college, the dude had crazy talent. Off-court issues just got the best of him.

Sounds like Cousins is shooting back up. I doubt we'll be able to get the 3rd pick from the Nets. They are in rebuilding mode and want a big splash.

I wouldn't worry too much about NJ. They've already probably made their decision a long time ago and were just bringing both in just to make sure nothing crazy happened.

Besides, Cousins is a horrible fit for Brooks.

Cousins reminds me of an Eddie Curry type player. I sure hope I'm wrong.

His game reminds a bit of Moses Malone. This kid can play.
