I'm not doing that unless Rubio's rights are involved, too.

Let's all welcome Melvin Turpin II to H-Town. For you youngsters, he was a 6-10 center compared to Akeem when he came out of Kentucky. He played and looked more like "two sandwiches" Hamilton. The last time I heard Calipari hype a big of his we drafted him as well. He turned out great for us

My bad, it would be a trade with the Twolves !! Knowing that, they would take KMart in a heartbeat. They need wing scoring in the worst way. They are under the cap, so maybe they would accept 14th+KMart for 4th + Love or Jefferson.

    1) He struggled very badly offensively in the first half. His percentages were atrocious. I think the criticism is over the top, but that is why.

    2) Morey apparently loves Rubio, and if Morey loves him, then I do to!

1.) Can't really answer. Everyone has different opinions on him.

2.) Perhaps because Morey is "in love" with him. As we like to say around here, "In Morey we trust". So if it's good enough for Morey, it's good enough for fans to "sign off" on it.

So you're basing someone's draft stock on someones success thru the NCAA tourney?

In that case sign me up right away!!!

Cousins and a team fully loaded with John Wall, Eric Bledsoe, and Daniel Orton (all projected first rounders) lost in the Elite Eight to West Virginia.

since apparently you know the future, why don't you just tell the rockets who to draft to build a championship team.

drafting is about taking calculated risks on talent. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt, but the guy in question is clearly talented and plays a position of need. you're talking about trading a mid lottery pick, an unknown pick next year, and two bench players for a potential star center . . .

Your absolutely right. I actually think Hill+#14+ our future Knicks picks is probably not enough to move up to #4. I read the Kings will give Detroit the #5 pick for Prince + #7. I think that's crazy high, but I think it points to actual trade value of those picks for a potential star is higher than just a collection of immediate past/present/future mid lotto picks.

But the feeling is that Minnesota wants to add 2 solid wings, and if they aren't wanting to reach for Wesley Johnson at 4, perhaps they trade down at take him at 7... however... if Houston offers them Budinger or Ariza/14th/future pick, maybe they are really high on Paul George and decide that the Houston package plus Paul George is more intriguing than getting just Wes Johnson 4th overall or getting a less substantial offer from the Pistons to move down to 7.

A borderline all-star 20+ PPG scorer, two upcoming talents with high tradeability, a lottery pick, and a potential lottery pick for two complete unknowns and a big man that is a horrible fit to our current team and system? I know the #4 is worth a lot, but that's giving up too much proven talent and not getting enough in return.

    Thank God we have Morey.

Hmm, maybe the #4 is a part of the deal going to Toronto for Bosh; Toronto needs a center, and they're picking just ahead of us. Morey knows this, so he's sending away a package that otherwise would have been for Bosh, BUT by giving them Cousins instead of our package he is also eliminating the possibility of Toronto drafting ANOTHER high-upside center at #13 that Morey has his eyes on...Hassan Whiteside?

    Agree on all counts.

(This is all assuming Cousins is on the board, of course. No way would I give up that package for Favors.)

People need to keep in mind, that if the Rockets pull off this deal, considering the amount of pieces it will take to move up 10 spots into the top 5, this more then likely takes them out for Bosh.

There are other players that you can get with the #4

I gotta disagree here. Jefferson is the best player in that deal.. with Martin being the second best. Cousins/Rubio could very well turn out to be better than all those players involved. I doubt we could sniff that deal with the proposed package -- it would take a lot more.
