why the obsession with trading? we need our bench. we need depth, we went years talking that we need depth, now we have it finally and want to trade it away?

nothing wrong with whiteside at 14, his measureables are better than cousins, i also like henry and sanders and williams and bradley

    heres the guy we need

How do you expect us to get Bosh? Signing? I surely hope not. Gonna have to trade, so you're trading away some of that talent regardless.

Rose, hinrich, lebron, bosh, and noah as a lineup have a lot of athletic versatility, interesting team that'll be great defensively, especially with their new coach...They need to try to re-sign Pargo, Murray and warrick as back ups.

Ha, you might be right. It's tough not to get excited during the draft. It really depends on exactly what the Rockets would have to give up, but I wouldn't break the bank on the kid. A key point is how effortlessly Morey can find mid level talent. Whether it's Brooks, or Landry, or Chase. These players are valuable but not untouchable, because we know Morey can always find more diamonds in the rough.

There are plenty of question marks about Rubio, and highlight videos can never truly be trusted, but he's got the brain of a crafty veteran trapped inside a 19 year kid. That's why so many general managers covet him, and why he's being hyped (yes, hyped) as the next great pure point guard.

Again, it all depends on how much we'd have to give up.

    Thank's "hsf09" for the update :)

I would gladly take on Jefferson contract, if it meant receiving the 4th pick

I guarantee that a lot of this chatter between teams will amount to nothing, and the block buster trades that do occur will probably end up being train wrecks. I see a lot of general managers losing their jobs, in a couple of years, because of the bad decisions they're about to make this Summer.

    Calm down!

Anyone willing to move up to 3? NJ appears to be willing to move/slide back. Not sure how far back(14 it would be in this case) but..

I say do it! Trade away some assets and improve the team.

I'm willing to bet if we moved the #14, Jordan Hill, and a future 2nd, Thorn would be happy to ship the #3 and Yi to us.

    1. Hill is the PERFECT compliment to Brooke Lopez.

    2. They can move the #14 if they so choose or draft a SF @#14

    3. They get rid of Yi and his contract.

    While the Rockets get:

    1. Cousins or another player they have high on their list

    2. A VERY serviceable forward that can give good minutes off the bench at either forward positions.

Lol, I would love to see everyone's face when Stern comes up and says.

"There has been a trade..." with any of the picks in the top 10. Everyone is going to be on the very edge of their seats.

Yep. And to make matters worse, trades involving swapping of picks are typically not announced until after the lower pick is made. So you can't even be sure that a player taken by a team was ACTUALLY taken by THAT team until potentially much later in the draft!

Me too. Honestly, I might even take Brand. He can be very serviceable for us.
