Ok, let's get serious. Here's my prediction. We will probably sit pat or trade back b/c we have no trade up partner.

If we trade into the top 5, we will deal AB, the 14th pick and other considerations. Maybe a lot of considerations. We will also deal into the late first round, perhaps buy a pick, to select Williams or another guard.

    - I believe in Cousins, I think morey does too.
    - AB's value is high, perhaps the higest it can get. Both Minny and Sac could use a PG that can shoot from distance.
    - Lowry and Martin provide better defensive balance.
    - With Lowry, Martin, Yao and Cousins, we have a ton of players that will live at the line.

Morey has collected a lot of small assets and increased their value through player development, or shrewd trades with other teams. It is time to consolidate and identify a potential franchise player. I think Morey will go all in on Thursday night. The only question is whether that's going to be enough for Minny or Sac to bite.

Yes I know that is the big picture but getting a great deal from minnesota, and i'm using the word great loosely as we yet to know the value of the NY picks or see Rubio play in the NBA, doesn't mean rip yourself off on the next deal because you're still ahead. This could be Yao's last year, we're all tired of losing and giving up our best scorer for a player coming over next year MAYBE, would be terrible, especially for only the #10. Now, if Indiana throws in next years unprotected 1st round maybe, but with Brooks they'd make the Playoffs. You're really undervaluing our MIP.

I wouldn't fault the Rockets for making that deal. Brooks is a nice player, and he's improving, but Rubio can be special, and Minny knows that. In other words, you can't be barking with the big dogs if you're peeing on the porch with the puppies. To get Rubio, it's going to sting, but it's a risk worth considering.

R U guys roomates? Is there something in the water. I have to go after this post. Raven, yourself and J are two of the smartest posters here so i'm really shocked and I'm really dissapoointed in you guys(j/k). You mean to tell me that if minnesota rejects our package plus the 14, which J didn't include in his first post but did his second, but would accept the package plus a 10, we trade BROOKS, to move down the four last picks of the Lottery. People are getting a little too carried away with Rubio. I know he's the next Pistol but didn't pistol have a dissappointing career compared to the expectations.

    OKC just raped Miami:

Okc gets 18th+Cook for 2nd round pick. Cap space move for the Heat. Are they trying to have enough cap to sign 3 max players? Don't they understand that most of the MAX FA's will leave through S&T, and they are going NY style wasting all there "assets"...

Apparently OKC is targeting Larry Sanders.

On the other hand, CDR for a future 2nd sounds questionable. Looks like a cap room move aswell.
I think NJ is going to make a serious push for Chris Paul... There owner surely is a competitive dude, wouldn't be surprised.

Maybe Miami knows something we don't?

Otherwise, it's another example of a team shooting themselves in the foot, because they have dream team fantasies.

Jonathan Givony of Draft Express says trading up "is still in play" though they'll have to put a good package together. - fwtw(for what that's worth).

    Great find!

Givony also says that he will be surprised if Houston were to take Whiteside. He goes on to say Patterson and Aldrich will be great picks for us.
