He has great size and skill. He doesn't have superb athletic ability, but he is a good athlete. He is very offensively polished already.

Yea- too steep for Minny not to bringing anything else on their end.

Regardless, what is open knowledge and is being speculated here on this forum is such a small percent of what is happening behind close doors.

    I wouldn't worry too much.

if we did have to give up Budinger, why would we have to give up the 14th pick too?

Why wouldn't Budinger and next years' Knicks pick work?

We can draft Cousins @ 4 and replace Budinger @ 14 wtih Paul George....if that's possible

Considering the success of Toronto, that is understandable.

Big approval from me. Let's face it, Yao will never be the same. This is one of the deepest Big Man drafts I can remember. I honestly don't feel we need a PF, but a true skilled Center. Cousins is super talented, his game reminds me a bit of a less athletic Andrew Bynum with more post moves.

I say we dangle KMart and see if we can convince Detroit. IMO, I think we can do Kmart+14th+Battier for 4th+Rip Hamilton?? Detroit has a TON of guards, and we will have to take on one of their contracts.

Because Budinger isn't as valuable as DD and his clones think. ;)

Yea, Minnessota is going to want a kings ransom for the 4th pick if Cousins is still there.

Martin? Who can score 40 points in some nights, and no.15 pick for Cousin, I think that is too much for this bigger fish who has been mentioned for not working very hard. I would not include Martin in the deal.

LOL, I would ask for that too if I was Minny. But that's clearly too much to give up. Rockets would counter with something else.

My guess is Morey is exploring options. But I am not so sure he would deplete his "asset war chest" that completely for the move for Cousins.

I am sure his goal is to move up AND still have a decent asset package to offer Toronto for Bosh.

A true skilled center like you say is an extremely rare commodity in the NBA.

    Done.

    That's not too steep.

We know Budinger will be at least be a solid role player, but not a superstar. Hill could still turn out to be a bust. The 14th we don't really need, at that point the talent level drops off and it is financially smarter to take 2nd round picks. The Knicks pick could be huge, but you gotta give up something to get something.

    Cousins has superstar ability.

Really scared by this rumor. :(

The only hope is that Morey wont choose Cousins at #4.

DET has 7th pick; MIN has 4th. But that is still way too steep a price to pay

We all know how Morey works. He'll probably low ball Minnesota, overrate his players and get the #4 pick for a salary dump.

Can I ask what may be two dumb questions (I rarely post in this section of the board, and only lurk lightly)?

1.) Why is everyone so down on Trevor Ariza?

2.) Can someone please explain to me this board's obsession with Ricky Rubio?

Detroit does not have the 4th pick. THey have the 7th. Houston and Detroit[from this report] are "battling" for the 4th pick. Both want it. This isnt a trade w/ Detroit. It would be with Minnesota, who has the 4th pick.
