Sounds like a personal problem for Minnesota, don't it? :p I guess they'll have to trade away Love or Jefferson. Well they dont have to trade away anyone - they can just continue to be the Minnesota Timberwolves if you know what I mean.

Who in the world thought Big Baby was going to be a hall of famer?

Was he really that heavy? It says 260 lbs here. http://www.nba.com/history/players/malonem_summary.html

There's also a big difference in stress between a 6'10" 260 lb person and somebody that is 30 lbs heavier. It would be an extra 120 lbs of force per stride(4 x 30 lb weight difference).

All of the current centers that are over 280+ lbs have missed at least 20 games this season, except for Bynum who missed 17 games.

In today's NBA, it seems that the big(280+ lbs) centers have died off and been replaced by lighter, smaller pf/centers. The 6'11"+ big men that are doing well and have a nice career have a wiry or medium build(240-270) such as Duncan, Garnett, Nowitzki, Pau Gasol for the high end and Chandler, Marc Gasol, Biedrins, Kaman, and Lopez. In today's NBA, the big 280+lb giants have a major injury every season, such as Oden, Bynum, Yao, and Curry. It's a miracle if they play make it to the playoffs without a broken foot or leg.

I really hope this trade goes through for the 4th pick, but it's looking less and less likely. Come on DM!!!!

Moses Malone was NOT heavy, he was a weird body type, but not heavy, the dude was relentless.

I do not see that in any of the Cousins videos....Moses was probably the single most focused player I have ever watched play.

That guy got by on pure will...

Not what i meant....i meant in terms of playing style/effectiveness he's in the same boat as Davis....the hall of fame part was the expectations some have of cousins, but i see him being another big baby with a J.

You must also take into account if the player has lazy eyes, usually that means they have a poor work ethic lmao.

Too bad Cousins isn't 7 feet. Or even 6'11 :)

What reason could the possibly team have for divulging this information?

    I don't buy it.

scare away other trade partners...thus a "major" push....to make it feel like they are going all out. Teams out there know we have a lot of assets, so it may make them uneasy about it. It's bad enough knowing Morey is the one trying to work out the deal.

The Rockets should draft BPA @ 14 and try to get a 2nd rounder to draft Brian Zoubek

One more day of wheeling and dealing for Morey. Hopefully he has a little bit of luck. I'm confident Morey can get another 1st round pick. I'd say we get more than just the 14th in the lottery and maybe not even in the top 5.

I would take a 6-10, 7-5 wingspan big baby any day...

Demarcus Cousins is not a physical beast like Shaq, He doesn't have the will of a Moses Malone, but he has truly elite skillwork and post intelligence. He is going to be a great player immediately in my opinion.

I think Cousin's believes he'll be great, which is ok with me. I'm starting to come around to the thinking he'll be a good pro. If Morey is able to move up and draft him, I wouldn't be disappointed in the least. I'm not worried about his perceived lack of athleticism, just because he doesn't jump out of the gym doesn't mean he's not athletic enough to be effective. Cousin's positions himself well and has very good footwork. Yeah, I'm pretty much in.

Brackins would be a steal in the 2nd round.

I've got a "With the number 14 pick, the Houston Rockets select....Cole Aldrich, center from the University of Kansas" feeling. Not the worst feeling in the world, but not terribly exciting.
