Good point. But the point I want to bring is, does it matter if some black dudes got a 100 inch verticle and a 100 feet reach?????? Can't we just draft a BASKETBALL PLAYER??? I don't give a **** if some random draftees is a 2millimeter peter, as long as he can get me 100 ppg and win me my championship.

No offense, but do you have a higher reach than 9'5 and an almost 7'6 wingspan to go with that vertical.

Pro scouts say that? I've never gotten that impression from the stuff I read. Care to provide some links? Thanks.

Yea, I saw that. I would be content to see the rockets draft at #14 with all the incredible depth in this draft.

14th is the worst position to be at in this draft. There is the top 5 and then the rest if just balanced talent all the way til number 35 or so where there is a major drop off in talent. I would be happy to see Morey draft down and get 2 first rounders from this.

I see nothing special about Elliot Williams, but I would be ecstatic if we got him at the bottom of the first round.

At #14 you still have a possible shot at Patterson, Aldrich, Henry and maybe George if any of those guys slip. I also see where Craig Brackins is moving up the boards.

but he's never been an NBA player :)

i think he's on the Big Baby boat. He can manage to do some things well, but people are expecting hall of famer here and it's going to be difficult for him to be that succesful in an above the rim game. Some guys can do it, but those guys are very fluid and technical. Not sure Cousins can be there either.

there's no way the talent is balanced from 6 to 35...that's a ridiculous statement. After a few picks the star power does drop some, but it doesnt take a very significant (and negative) drop until at about 15 or 16, but that still leaves houston in a good position. Even then the rest of the talent can turn out ok.

Craig Brakins could be a steal in the 2nd round for us if we do make a deal where move into the 2nd round.

I think a vertical does matter in the NBA, as far as guys finishing over defenders. Not to say you can't be a productive player, but most of the elite bigs were somewhat explosive.

WTF!? I just read those two sites and there's nothing to suggest he's not a good athlete. Simply he's not a chiseled physical speciman. Or in football terms, he's not a workout-warrior.

Nimble feet, agile body, isn't all those signs of an awesome, awesome post player? Does it really matter that he can't do superman dunks like Howard? Personally, I'd much rather have a more skilled big man than a pure physical speciman.

Lol, so Minnesota wants to add Favors to their logjam at power forward along with Love and Jefferson?

This is an instance where drafting BPA over need is not smart. They'll have like 3 starter-caliber players at PG and PF and none at any other position. At some point they'll have to trade their excess talent for 50 cents on the dollar and end up with worse players than if they had drafted a balanced roster in the first place.

Moses Malone was a heavy 6'10" center who wasn't that athletic but was a bull on the boards, scored around the basket and got to the free throw line a lot while having a pretty nice career here (and then in Philly) . . .
