I would be very happy with Aldrich at #14. Very happy.

If i were the kings, i would rather have thompson and monroe vs thompson and cousins. Those 2 guys are interchangable on the frontline offensively and defensively. Petrie is one of the best talent people in the entire league.

I don't see how a skilled big man falls to 14th. I think the Rockets need to trade up a few spots (not all the way to 4th, necessarily) or trade down, because 14th is maybe not that great a position. We're probably a couple of spots from getting a big that can contribute, but still paying that first round money.

I would take Aldrich at #14 all day if my top targets were off the board and I would be happy doing it. He probably won't be there anyway.

Someone is going to fall, there's just too much talent bunched up in the top 15 or so... u got guys who can possibly go 15 or 9, 10 or 16, etc.. Just look at cousins, who was long thought to be a lock at 3, a possible 2, now is likely to go fifth. When guys start shooting up, someone has to come down. Right now Hayward and George could go higher than expected, before Houston's pick, and they were once projected to be picked by houston or a pick or two later. Then there's whiteside who has shot way down, but who knows, he's intriguing.

^^You think so? He is rising and I'm not sure he'll be there. Could go to Memphis at 12.

This guy is Rudy gay with less talent. Rudy gay has offensive skills but with he giveth on offense he giveth back on defense. gay is the perfect example of a player who looks great on paper. George will that also.

Only one man's opinion but Chad Ford has said he thinks he's a poor man's Tracy McGrady

Well honestly Rudy Gay was also touted as a poor man's tmac and we all know how that turned out...

He doesn't come close to Tmac when he was a prospect. The only similarities I see is that he has a good jumpshot and a similar body frame. Skinny, tall, and lanky.

Yep. It's a good thing that the Rockets would have selected reigning NBA All-Defense Second Teamer Thabo Sefalosha over Gay if they had not made the Shane Battier trade. ;)

(By the way, it's nice to know that the Rockets had Thabo scouted as a potentially very good NBA defender, and it actually turned out that way. Even though the Rockets never actually drafted him, I like knowing when the front office was at least right about a prospect.)

George seems more capable of expanding his offensive game than Rudy... a majority of Rudy's points come from hand offs/rebounds close to the rim, fast breaks, and pull up js...George seems a lot more capable of moving off the dribble and putting moves together. Gay does his thing off of athleticism, while George seems to have athleticism to top off his skills.

I had a similar thought last year. We heard rumors Morey was trying to get into the lottery to draft a guard, but it never happened.

I wonder if they knew Jennings/Evans/Curry would be so good or who it was that he was actually targeting.

If Cousins reaches #5 Kings, Is there a deal?

With NJ now wanting to take Wesley Johnson, That changes everything. Rumor is Kahn will take Favors and has even contacted Favors people to see if he will play in Minnesota.

That puts Cousins at #5. Kings could take Monroe, leaving Cousins at #6.

This is our deal, Kings or GSW.

What does Kings need, want from Rockets,in return for Cousins?

Kings lineup : Tyreke Evans, Casspi, Landry, Dalembert, Greene, Udrich,

GSW lineup : morrow, beidrins, wright, randolph, curry, ellis (they traded maggette today)

I heard a strong rumor from a writer that we have a deal in the top 10 guaranteed but Rockets are holding off so far. Clipper fans seem to be in love with Ariza for the #8.

Patterson or George at #14. if both are gone, I'd trade back and take a gamble on Whiteside. At least you know he's gonna block some shots.

I just watched some Cousins highlights. Nice moves, but his vertical sucks.

    but his arms are looooooooonnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg

his does have a bad vert, but no to bad, its equal to greg monroe

his reach is amazing. 9'5 equals hassan whiteside, thats 4 inches longer than boshes reach and 5 inches longer(no pun intended) than amares reach

his total jumping reach is only 11'9 which means he wont block many shots if at all, but he will grab rebounds(if he has killer instinct)

he is taller than bosh by 1 inch and amare 2 inches, for me, its a toss up between him and monroe,

monroe is 40 pounds lighter while being the same height as cousins, but his vertical is only 1 inch higher than cousins. which tells me cousins legs are waaaaaaaaaayyy more explosive than monroes
