i don't see any reason why the wolves would want martin. he gets paid a lot and he isn't very healthy. i like him on the rockets but he doesn't make much sense for the wolves who are completely rebuilding. i do see them wanting c-bud, #14, and future first. cheap contract and good upside also this would still give them 3 first round picks in this pretty deep draft and a potentially mid to very high pick if it is one of the knicks picks.

At this point, I see Minny if they stay put taking Favors over Cousins if they need to choose between the two. That leaves our old friends Sacramento.

im beginning to think there's too many "promises" right now in the top 10, and although i know they can be broken they seem pretty solid right now and the top 10 are falling into place, so i'm expecting all the trades on the table to be left alone, then for Aldrich to "fall" to the rockets, unless of course the Jazz screw us, which i think is likely. If that happens then i have no idea who the rockets would pick at 14...

Aldrich seems like he's slipping on everyone's boards. Might be a good reason why, I recall Adrian Wojo saying that Aldrich will be the bust of the draft.

    Sure seems like it.

    1. John Wall
    2. Evan Turner
    3. Derrick Favors
    4. Wes Johnson
    5. Greg Monroe/DeMarcus Cousins
    6. DeMarcus Cousins/Greg Monroe
    7. Ed Davis
    8. Al-Farouq Aminu
    9. Babbitt/Hayward
    10. ???
    11. Henry, Patterson, Aldrich

    DraftExpress
Utah “looking for a wing scorer who can come in and play big minutes right away.” Dead heat between Babbitt (slight edge) and Hayward

    DraftExpress
The New Orleans Hornets' board, from what I can gather, looks like this: Xavier Henry, Patrick Patterson, Cole Aldrich. Not 100% on order.

i agree. i think 2 firsts and cbud isn't an insane price to pay, but we would be giving up a lot in that deal. i guess it just depends who morey is targeting. i like the idea of a player like cousins, but his weight and inability to stay in shape really worry me. the dude could have worked himself up to a certain #3 or even borderline #2 if he busted his ass and came into the pre-draft measurements around 265-270......but he didn't. i think the difference between 2 and 4 is somewhere aroud 2.5 mil over 3 years. anyhow, it wasn't important to him since he showed up to the pre-draft camp overweight.

clearly, the guy can play ball, but i really hope if we do make a trade to get him that morey is 100% sure about his commitment.

Why am I not surprised? I hope Babbitt doesn't get picked by Utah even though I believe he will because I really like him as a player.

i believe favors is the real target if he slips to 4. outside of his amazing stats cousins just doesn't seem like a morey-esque player in terms of hard work.

Funny you should say that ... he may be. I think if you're the Rockets and you land the #4 somehow, you're loving that position -- Favors or Cousins. The Rockets know they desperately need athleticism in the frontcourt -- specifically shotblocking.

You have to have expectations to be a bust.

Mid-skilled, work ethic, Kansas centers don't bust, they play in the league for a decade; unspectacularly maybe, off the bench maybe, but they earn a check.

I know hoopsworld is blocked here, but Alex Kennedy is a pretty good source..he doesn't make up the BS thats Bill Ingram. This is what Alex Kennedy tweeted..

Same thing with the Houston Rockets. They say that they have an offer to move into the top 10 but are holding off to see what else happens.

Favors or Cousins has to be a win-win

Exactly my thought. You don't lose with either one. Cousins is the better talent but also the more risk. But favors could be a Karl Malone type player one day so either is a win for Rockets.

Nice to see that Alex is being active.

I wonder if this is for the 4th pick or another top 10 pick like the Pistons or Clippers.

i completely forgot they drafted Koufos...I know they have Fesenko, but wasnt sure he'd stick around with them...so forget about them screwing us over with Aldrich, that would be too many bigs for them...so that increases the chances of Houston drafting Aldrich.

And i wouldntbe surprised if houston traded slightly up to get Babbitt or took him if he somehow dropped to 14. He and bud are redundant, but this is a morey type move. The guy is talented and surely replaces Bud, and that would make Bud a nice trade bait with his stock being high at the moment.

Agree Kennedy has some inside knowledge. It is all about people. Too many on this sight say don't from this sight or that sight but if the individual has been reliable in the past than why not at least hear what he has to say. No one knows for sure. Even if Morey says something he could change his mind.

Personally over the last few years Givony is the most reliable source for me. He seems to know everyone and everyone knows it so they go to him to find out about others and in the process he hears it all. This year he even said he was going to quit reporting everything because he felt some were trying to use him to voice there disinformation.

and all i hear is how houston wants bosh/amar'e and Favors is in that same physical mold, his initial lift/hang time is impressive, very much like Amar'e or a young Mcdyess.
