Minnesota sounds ecstatic to be in the position they're in. "We're in great shape." They won't try to move up to 3 to get Johnson from NJ.

    DraftExpress
The reported trade between Memphis and Minnesota (25+28 for 16) is a "possibility", but is "not done." Its "just discussions at this point"

That trade would give Minny 6 picks in the draft. Not considering the cost of 4 first rounders it is just stupid to add 6 rookies to a lousy roster next year. SO either this trade is straight bs or Minny has plans to dump some of their draft picks in another trade (with Houston maybe).

stand pat and take either Sanders,Whiteside,Williams,George.

No point in losing Jordan Hill,or Budinger. We need depth. Battier and David Anderson are not the future of this team. I dont see the point in trading up just to be cute.

We will regret losing our depth and youth. Much like trading Horry and Cassell for Barkley. Much like trading Gay for Battier. I like our team now. Lets just trade Battier at the trade deadline, and use sanders as our backup center. Looking at the measurements sanders as big or bigger than amare. Steal of the draft.I heard he is outplaying everyone.

We cant trade Brooks, because who would backup Lowry?
We cant trade Martin because no sg?
We cant trade Budinger because Battier will be gone, and who backs up ariza?
We cant trade Hill who backups Scola?

Theres no point in starting over and losing our depth. We need 1 thing,a center to backup Yao. If you trade budinger,14,hill for cousins, you have no backups for ariza, scola, and you better hope cousins is an allstar otherwise your screwed.

Personally, i think this is really just another pr deal to keep fans into through this process. Just like being predatory and the whole bosh to houston deal. Chasing waterfall like TLC sang about years ago.

Exactly. NJ is irrelevant to Houston. Kahn wants both Cousins and Johnson. He will not trade it. NJ wont trade. Philly doesnt need our guards. You guys are overrating our squad. The only real guy that would help us win is bosh and obviously we arent even on his radar because otherwise clutch would have gotten word of it, and we wouldnt have to email mikeandmike to beg bosh.

Looks like bosh is gone. Looks like cousins is gone. Moreys first 2 choices failed.

Dexter Pittman would be a good value in the 2nd round. Let's take the best player in the 1st round, Pittman in the 2nd, then call it a day.

I think Houston will trade up for Cousins if he makes it to #4. I have been watching a lot of Demarcus on youtube and any fear about his athleticism are unwarranted (IMO) I think he is a decent leaper and pretty quick. Especially once he starts training NBA style. He will be monster in this league.

I said it before... I would pay #14, 2012 first rounder and Cbud. But no more than that.

The Wolves offered #4 pick to Blazers for Batum.... Blazers declined. I dont think its going to take much to get the 4th pick.

Sources: The Blazers rejected the Wolves' offer of the No. 4 pick for Batum a couple of weeks ago.

Sounds like a lot of smoke being blown by a lot of GM's.

Sounds like they're looking for their SF. Ariza? I already know your feelings/opinion on Budinger. Or the SG Martin? Who knows.

Agree about a lotta smoke being blown

There's absolutely no way that's true. Batum isn't worth anywhere close to a top 5 pick. There was either a lot more pieces involved Chad isn't reporting or the Blazers are trying to raise Batum's trade value to someone else.

Yes it is. Watching a couple of youtube HIGHLIGHTS cannot give you an accurate picture of one's athleticism or speed or quickness. Sure it there might a couple of plays that makes it appear he has good athletic ability etc but if you watch it in the entire context he (Cousins) has passable explosiveness and athleticism. There's a reason every LEGITIMATE mock draft sites mentions his lack of explosiveness and athleticism. Those people do this for a living and also talk with other scouts too. Now, I agree he is more nimble than people think, but that is well short of anything that can be described as "explosive" or "quick"

I wonder how much the Blazers paid Chad ford to put out a report like that.
