We would probably have to give up the 2011 NY(swap)pick in addition to the 2012 pick in order to get equal value...

Rubio is not coming over next season. Repeat- Rubio is not coming over next season.

    Two years from now possibly.

    Hill + Bud + #14 + Knicks pick for #4:

I think #4 is worth 3 of those 4 things; all 4 things for the 4th pick is over-paying. However, I think we should over-pay and pull the trigger if that's what it takes.

I would love to have Rubio, too, but Rubio is an anti-Yao: by the time Rubio comes, Yao might be either gone or a useless cripple. Health-wise, I think Yao is equivalent to 2nd or 3rd-year Sam Bowie. So, unless you can get Rubio to come over within a year, I think maybe you trade Yao for someone younger.

The problem with trading Yao is, he's very profitable, due to his attraction to the Chinese community.

This is the kind of trade that will make sense to Minn. they get two veteran players plus two picks. I hope you are right. I can't wait for Thursday to finally get to see what the organization has planned.

And for those that question my statement about AB and Nate, there are no 2 similar players in any sport, so don´t get me wrong

    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/woL9hTQDl38&hl=pt_PT&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/woL9hTQDl38&hl=pt_PT&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

Only thing I said is that neither AB nor Nate will be stars, and that is not bashing the player, you can´t have 5 stars in your roster, and that is the statement i criticize on DD´s post, you can over-hype, but you can´t/should´t say these things just cause, all I want from AB is that he makes those 3pt shots he will have after the double time comes on Yao/Bosh/Cousins/whatever, if he does that, he is my star, but he will never be a star, because for me a star is the elite of any sport, and neither c.bud, ab or hill will be

But wil Cousins be??? I don´t know, all I know is that is easier to get a good solid sf/pf young player(hill and bud), than it is to get a solid C (worst case senario with Cousins), example David Anderson

and nate can play d? haha just look at this years playoff run? haha cmon man, he played in about 4 playoff games. he was only put in the game because rondo was not attacking the basket, so they were hoping for some scoring punch and they got in 2 games during the playoffs, big WHOOP!

ABs 3pt shooting is lights out, and can run laps around nate. AB has contributed and significantly to teams with winning records and torched the lakers last year in the playoffs. Compared to Nate, AB is a STAR not potential.

To hate on one person for saying AB, Bud and Hill are potential stars and we should keep them (especially being that their on small contracts) and throw out the names of Nate Robinson, Big Baby and Lamar Odom, is ridiculous.

True enough, but as you should know by now........

If you hear about it, it won't happen. Morey is like a stealth bomber, you don't see him until its too late

Fair point... but obviously you're never going to be able to have your highest foul % player out there 100% of the time so ideally you need at least a few. high foul % players. In addition, there's going to be situations in which you'd have to go away from your high foul drawing player (double team, transition, etc). I mean ideally, you'd find your highest FG% shooting player and have him shoot every single time, but that's not going to happen in reality, and I think the same holds here. There's also the strategic value of getting your opponent in the penalty/foul trouble earlier rather than later.

I think at the end of the day you can just fold it into TS%, and so your high foul drawing player is going to do a lot better than a guy who can't get to the line. I mean look at Lowry isn't great at 3 point shooting but his TS% is about hte same as Brooks since he gets to the line.

okay I didn't get to read the whole thread.. yall were really busy while I was at school.

But there are a lot of "but Cuz is this.... why would we want him"

It's all about perception and reality.

I maintain, as I have since he was discussed, with the right group of people teaching him, Cuz is an All-star within the next five years.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I personally would off the Timberwolves Kevin Martin and a future pick for #4.
Potential lineup for rockets down the road would be Cousins, Hill, Ariza, Budinger and Brooks.

If the Rockets got Cousins and Rubio, CF would melt.

hmm...sounds like we might trade someone on draft night...someone young that might have climbed high and capped out...like Brooks. Now who would our incoming player be??? Perhaps a younger player who's stats may not be as steller right now or a college player that Morey has picked to be a stud. I also suspect that we will be purchasing some picks later in the 1st or a couple of 2nds.

    Martin wouldn't be traded because:

    a) Kahn rejected his $$
    b) Morey brought him here to play next to Yao, it was an important trade and he won't be traded again before playing any minutes with Yao.
