Good for those two guys but this really stinks! No doubt ESPN will put their future content behind the paywall.

Exactly. Good for them, not good for the rest of us. It's strange because they just put a ton of effort into redesigning the site.

Truthfully though, their free content was light years better than ESPN's pay content. DraftExpress just killed Chad Ford.

We'll see what ESPN has up their sleeve... they're not oblivious to the fact that their traditional model is slumping. Then again, I see what they're doing with Woj so maybe I'm wrong.

once their non-competes run out, the ex-ESPNers could form a really great bball website on their own: Stein breaking news, Ford with the Draft, Larry Coon with CBA analysis, in depth articles from Ethan Sherwood Strauss, and of course Rockets-centric coverage from Watkins,

Everyone with insider access needs their own bat signal around the beginning of next offseason.

Slowly but surely Woj's Vertical Team being assimilated into ESPN. Only a matter of time before Shams, Mannix and Lee are over there.

    Yeah, DX killed Ford.

I subscribe to Insider so it is no biggie for me, but I can understand other's gripes.

Why would any website that wants to succeed bring Chad Ford on board?

"One of?" It was by miles the finest sports site on the internet. Their profiles of the guys drafted this year were true genius.

ESPN is finally buying out all competitors. Can't beat them? Just buy them.

    ESPN Insider?

Bummer. They were easily the best website for everything NBA Draft. ESPN will probably turn it into an overpriced dump. For shame.
