There was talk Granger had back & knee problems, ie had continual injuries in those areas in the past three seasons.
The media in Toronto is truly awful. The tabloid media has taken over the sports media in that city. They’ve got a witch hunt on against Babcock now which is a big part of the reason for the outcry against CV. They were waiting to jump on him no matter who he picked. If you asked a Toronto fan before the draft if he would be happy with Graham, Ukic and Villanueva they would have been very happy. Now they’ve found a way to slam Babcock for this because he picked Villanueva first. No one is asking who he should have taken instead because there really isn’t anyone, other than Frye who didn’t work out of them because he refused to work out for them. All the other alternatives dropped way down. But this is irrelevant to the fans and media there. They want to whine so whine they will. They are really fans of whining, not basketball. This is, I suspect, why players don’t want to go to Toronto. It’s a pretty innocuous city otherwise.
My guess is Villaneuva is headed somewhere. If not, Babcock is the next Wisebrod. Dumb dumb pick with Chris Bosh already there. 90% chance CV will be traded. If the Raptors somehow get Magliore, Babcock should be congratuled.
