I know he does, and I do give him credit too. The Dream block was better IMO, because he stumbled, regained his posture, and still blocked Starks at the last second.
Ryno needs to work out with him this summer, maybe he'll be able to touch rim on more than 1 play a year.
Saw that last night. Made me happy and sad at the same time. Didn't go to UH, but I have awesome memories of watching Phi Slamma Jamma at Hofheinz. My dad used to take me to games. Yeah, it's a dump by today's standards, but now that the Summit is no more, it's the most hallowed basketball arena in the city. Only fitting that Dream made the last ever dunk.
Sometimes I go on Youtube to watch Dream highlights. Still the best moves of any big man ever, and it ain't even close.
How many people now look back and realize you took dream for granted? During the 86 finals I was still in high school. So dream was part of my basketball viewing pleasure for quite some time. You just got used to the man being the heart of the franchise and when he was gone that was that. We were blessed Yao came along with his unique skill set to help soften the blow down to reality that we may never have another big man that changed the game so much.
Ha, it didn't need fixing really. He was okay during the regular season, he was a demi-god come playoffs. He never won 60 games during a season for a reason. He wasn't playing to his full potential. That's what the playoffs were for... showing people who you really are. The best.
