He's on HWY 6 and Bellaire in the corner.

Only doctor I've been across that does things right. Integrity and ethics is what I based my life on. I would expect doctors to do as well, it only makes sense, no?

Please, if you need medical attention, go see him!

I jammed my fingers. Went to 2 doctors in Dallas. Both said I needed surgery. Both were charging over $6000. Got the x-rays done and that was my only option. I told my dad, he got pissed, and he told me to come to Houston immediately. Returned last night and went to this guy this morning. I told him about the other doctors and he was hysterical. Surgery was not required, he just numbed my fingers and unjammed the bones. I was in and out in 30 minutes and spent only 80 bucks. Unbelievable! I've been seeing this guy for about 10 years now for everything.

The medical field in this country is a shame.

When I saw DR. T in the title I immediately thought of the Richard Gere movie from a few years ago. In the movie Dr. T was a gynecologist.

Does Dr. T stand for Dr. Tor Ackman?

LOL. This Dr. T's office used to be up the street on HW6 near the old Luby's, then he moved to Bellaire near the ghetto Kroger's, then to where he is now. He's pretty famous in Alief. In middle school, everyone who tried out or played for a team went to Dr. T to get physicals because it was like $10. He made you do jumping jacks for 30 seconds...that was pretty much it. The whole process took 2 minutes and he signed any form we needed. LOL. He's also pretty famous for a diet clinic he gives to fat women. All they do is lose water weight and then they get it all back.

He's an Asian scammer in many ways...I wouldn't trust him at all. But then again, the medical profession is full of doctors wanting insurance $ to perform unnecessary surgeries. Dr. T isn't a surgeon or anything like that. I mean, surgery is probably the right thing in most western medical opinions...so I guess Dr. T helped out there with the unjamming. I understand, because he is cheap...but man, I've grown up in Alief and known about Dr. T forever. He's someone you go to if you want to save money or lose some temporary weight.

I was really hoping some university had given Mr. T and honorary doctorate. Ruined my day to see otherwise.

Are you kidding me, how is it not?

I actually was going to post the entire story. It ended up being a page and I didn't want to bore anyone.

And I remember someone here starting a thread discussing how inefficient it is here. He was overseas and his daughter got sick. He talked about the process of getting to a doctor and how cheap and easy it was. It's completely true; it's a joke in America.

Houston alone has some great hospitals. People come from all over the world.

I would never argue that this medical system is efficient or cheap. Alot of critics say that the system is so expensive because of the ineffeciency.

I just think it is silly to make sweeping generalizations based on anecdotal data.

First, I wouldnt say that surgery wasn't needed. Give it some time before it fully heals and you have completely restored normal function.

Also, despite what you believe, the healthcare system here provides the best care in the world if you have the resources. Socialized medicine is an extremely lacking method of health care. It is often times impossible to see a specialist, and life enhancing procedures are unavailable. Also, I doubt you would want to go to a hospital in the developing world.

    That was [thread=121435]ROCKBOX[/thread].

Something is not right... why did you go to two Fallas doctors if you've been going to him for 10 years?
