I don't think Dr.Jack will ever say We will beat Minny as an expert, which is apparently a better team. But he did give credits to JVG and Rockets.

Id expect this Dr. guy to talk with more sense...

you can't just say oh, bron can dribble, yao can't, thus he has more skills? lets break it down...

yao's a better shooter by a landslide, (can you guys imagine, Yao probably doesn't even get as much time as guards do because he has to practice the post and interior defense)

yao's a better post up player (this may sound ridiculous, but isn't ridiculous also to compare dribbling skills)

Passing, this can be debated, i actually like bron because he likes passing such a refreshing change from all those and 1 idiots...but who's to say Yao wouldn't be a good playmaker? he obviously can pass with the best of the big men, (piatkowski your stupid misses in the beginning of the year cost Yao at least an assist and a half a game)

yao's clearly a better defensive threat, and his contribution cann't always be measured in numbers....one reason yao doesn't get as many blocks is because less people bother going right at him, its either a jumpshot away, or a difficult floater that no one can stop

oh, did i say yao's a better shooter? bron shoots a lot, i just dont think he makes enough of them....

maybe the Rox could, but the T-wolves are going to fall in the standings, so if that is the best matchup, the Rockets better start gaining on Memphis

That's my point. Different positions require different set of skills, it really makes no sense to compare a PG to a Center.

If you want to evaluate James, compare him to all other SG, e.g., Kobe, T-Mac, etc. If you talk about Yao, compare him to Shaq, Divac, Big-Z, etc, that'll be more fair.

IMO, the Rockets can beat any team other than the Kings of SacTown. Even if Minnesota slides down to the third spot and let's say the Spurs take over the 2nd spot, then we'll just have to beat up on the Spurs to get there. I respect Dr. jack's opinion but as a Rocket fan, I believe that our team can take any of the six other teams in the Western conference in the playoffs head-on and win!
