yeah, i've never understood this... i think there is one downtown that i hear is one of the better one's to go to but to think that just about every other dps office is located outside the loop is somewhat maddening. doesn't really make much sense.
I had to go last year after my wallet was stolen. Ended up going to this one (http://goo.gl/maps/vyj9) off 45 south. I probably was in there 30 minutes or so -- it was a pretty decent experience all-in-all.
They closed it but the W. Orem location was great. Never a line. Probably because it was in the hood but you could be in and out in a flash. RIP W. Orem DPS.
The one off Grant is terrible. I drove up to Hempstead. I was the only customer. In and out in 10 min. Worth the drive.
