I read many post in this topic. Lets just say Mac is not a very good team motivator. He is way to passive as a person not just a player to be a leader that is all there is to it. Once he gets the 03/04 season behind him and look at this game on forward to him it's more about #1 and his pride then it is about the team. He has done fairly well on the court as a player, but his passive personality is making him look really, really bad ATM and needs to act as if he cares about the team rather then his pride.
I noticed the sulleness on the bench too; he didn't seem to be part of the team. I wonder what is going on? You would think he would be a fan of his own team.
That's how it will be interpreted. I know Artest is an emotional guy, but he should be careful what he says. That kind of talk in public rarely helps a team.
When Grady was hurt last year and sat on the bench he never showed emotion, even on dramatic plays , he just looked like he never cared. So his actions on the bench might not mean much, but I wish he did show some.
If the other Rockets have been confronting Tracy, if Adelman and Morey have been sitting him down in the office behind a closed door, and that hasn't worked then calling him out in public is the next step. My guess is that this is frustration on Artest's part.
This is too much people. You know Tracy even before is not a rah-rah player. I don't care if he claps for everyone on the team or whatever. The team won and that's what's important as of the moment. Maybe later, we're gonna reflect on the bigger picture...playoffs and championship. Right now, this thread is unfair on T-Mac. I know that he has been luckluster as of late but this is too much even for me. People are now questioning his body language? This is nuts. Next thread please.
the t-mac that's showed up this year sucks but i can't believe some of you guys who I know have been following the team since tracy has been around think we're actually better without him. this is the same idiotic thinking that people brought up when were winning with yao out. it looks something like this: 1. rockets w/ healthy t-mac 2.rockets w/ no t-mac 3.rockets w/ half-a$$ t-mac. It was fun beating boston tonight but you're not winning anything if you ship t-mac out for pennies on the dollar. I think it's obvious you have to sit him out until he's healthy because it's good for both sides. But if anyone out there still wants a championship this season, you better hope that t-mac gets better this year.
Mac has even admitted in many articles he simply does not care. He talks about his 2 scoring titles as if that was just recently and that is his pride getting in the way from caring for the team. He needs to snap out of that and start caring about both.
Mcgrady has never been a big cheerleader, for better or worse. this thread is like those folks who see a special on the flu then think they're throat is sore. it's possible that mcgrady is a malcontent, we just don't know, but there's absolutely zero evidence from this game tonight.
Actually, if you watched the Celtics channel, it was pretty obvious. They zoomed up on Tracy's face during the huddle right after Wafer hit that 3. Everyone was cheering someone on, except McGrady, who had a frown on his face. I'm not exaggerating. He was actually frowning.
That's the issue isn't it? It's all about the attitude and body language. If Yao had a meeting with Adelman straight after the Sixers game to air his unhappiness over the "atmosphere surrounding the team". For Yao, someone who doesn't rock the boat, to reach his boiling point over the matter. The circus playing behind the scenes at the TC must be going nuts right now.
HE WAS NOT FROWNING HE HAD A BLANK LOOK ON HIS FACE... THATS ALL, YOUR MAKING MORE OF IT THAN IT ACTUALLY WAS!
