People are different. They have different ways of showing emotions and different mindset. Why do you want everyone to act the same as Mutombo? Always cheering on the bench. Maybe T-mac is thinking the next game. He is accustomed to this kind of win in the regular season and all he can think about is if he can get 100% healthy in playoffs now?

Man, T-mac is a person with emotions. He has to shoulder so much criticism. Have you ever tried that in your job. Shouldering the blame from everywhere and still do a good job? His indifference does not mean he don't care. Be a grown up, dude, you are a contributing member!

Hey I'm just as nauseated of all the tmac threads even on games he doesn't play but he brought this on himself.

Shane's work ethic and rep are miles above Tmac's, that's why Shane get's the benefit of the doubt.

Doesn't Shane have to stay back because he has to rehab his injury? I wouldn't mind if Tracy didn't go to a trip because he has to visit the doctors daily and maybe do something.....but if you are on a trip, on the sidelines, get in the game, support us by getting excited and loud, be a rocket rowdy or something, gosh.

i do think he's a good teammate. has anyone ever said he's a bad teammate? not one single player has said tracy is a bad teammate in his career. they may say his effort may need to be better, but no one has said he was a bad teammate.

tracy is not a rah-rah guy. he did congratulate his teammates many times. but he's not gonna jump up and down like it's game 7.

have you seen him on the court playing in his career? do you remember the ESPN woman call him the sleepy-eyed one during a game?

you wouldn't notice if he's trying a lick if you tried even when he's playing.

Nonsense. It was already decided well before that Battier would miss this trip. T-Mac is traveling with the team. If the roles were reversed, Shane would be on the bench cheering and supporting his teammates. He'd be giving the young guys advise during timeouts. He'd be communicating from the bench.

Tracy just can't win with some people. I guess he have to go out there and drop 40 every night for them to be happy then when he has one bad game they bash him. And it gets better now they even bash him when hes not playing. I wonder whats next they bash him for not eating right before the game.

I can't lie, I was thinking the exact same thing.

If nothing else, the guy should be happy that he got paid 6 figures tonight to sit in a chair for 2.25 hours. Wish I could have that same luxury. Guarantee you I'd throw in a smile or two.

this thread is ridiculous. man, does the guy get a break?

maybe the problem with tracey is that he's been in the league 12 years and never won in the playoffs and the burden has just gotten to him.

Hey hey chill, can't we just enjoy this win right now? Stop paying attention to T-Mac and start paying attention to the team playing well and receiving this much-needed victory.

let me bring up some things tracy has been criticized for that shane has done the exact same things:

    1) rehab badly. shane messed up his rehab and he's paying for it. for people who claimed tracy simply had loose particles removed from his knee, shane had it easier (had loose particles removed from his ankle)

    2) shane came out of nowhere and said he was shutting it down. no doctor told him so. nobody gave a hint that it was going to happen.

    3) shane didn't even go on this road trip.

the point is: people like you are done with tracy. that's fine. go create a thread and discuss his "mopiness" or whatever. stop creating a new thread for every single thought about tracy that just clobbers up this entire board. we just had a big win. but yet people still find ways to talk about tracy.

Let us see how the team plays on Friday if the D is back to the losing streak ways then there is something going on with TMac and his team mates, that may have lost interest in playing with TMac. I am sure Morey will have the answer but not until the trading deadline. I just wish the team gets going in the right direction.

We'll take 20-8-8 at this point, we're not picky.

benefit of the doubt? shane's effort is more consistent on the court. but what work ethic are you talking about in the offseason?

every year, what does shane do to improve his game? i haven't seen a single thing in his game that has improved since he has gotten here.

and his ankle should be fine by now if he rehabbed it correctly. same problem for tracy.

    THIS IS A LIE !

I wanted to be sure, as I DVRed the game, so I just watched it frame by frame.

Von hits the shot, lots of his teamates come out to congratulate him, and Tmac is sitting down looking at the Celtics bench.

Von then goes to the Bench ARTEST congratulates him...while Tmac is looking away, he walks around BEHIND TMAC.....who still hasn't looked at him and the camera cuts to the Celtics bench.

T_mac1 - if you like McGrady fine...but please STOP LYING to make your point.....you should be rookiefied for that.

I think Tracy is a great teammate. Maybe he was mad he couldn't be out there with the team. I heard he wanted to play but RA said it would be better if they stuck to the plan.

Wish he was still doing this. He looked so fired up cheering Ron when he hit that big three. I guess now that he is on the bench and isn't the "Go to" guy he can't help but be lethargic. He really needs to get over that mentality and start realizing he isnt the prolific scorer he used to be. That would really help out the team rather than giving a half effort on the court.
