Thank you. Exactly what I wanted to say. I didn't see the game. Eyewitness accounts in this thread are contradictory. So bring on the video. Look I am getting tired of TMac's drama too. But damn, can't you guys stop nitpicking everything TMac already? It's like some of you guys are HAPPY to find something bad about TMac.
It's not "like" ... they RELISH it. It's become an outright obsession for some people. And I think it exposes people's true character -- people deriving pleasure from being able to tear down and destroy another person with their words. "OMG the camera was on T-Mac's face for 400 milliseconds and I didn't see him jumping up and down in jubilation. How disgusting!"
It is a little confusing I admit, but watch the video closely. Wafer hits the three at the 15 second mark of the video. The guys are all celebrating -- some come over from the bench (with warmups on). 10 seconds later (25 second mark), you see T-Mac (tan shirt with a dark jacket) slowly get up off his seat. He doesn't high-five Wafer -- he's looking away from Wafer it appears. I'm not drawing any conclusions from that exchange, but he wasn't up in jubilation after the shot like the other guys (whatever that means). I know T-Mac is in hot water with his teammates right now so I'm not too surprised by it. I'm sure the Rockets wanted this game badly to make a point.
You can clearly see McGrady up off the bench, smiling, and in the mix at the 0:31 mark. Obviously he's not the most involved guy there, but he seems pretty happy to me. Or at the very least, like he's trying to look happy, even if he's upset with his current situation, which is worth something in itself.
Thanks for the clip, Clutch. McGrady doesn't look that involved, but hard to tell beyond that. But MAN, that was a great shot by Wafer! Huge shot for a young player to make.
The Original Poster and most people on this thread are lying. McGrady high fives Von at the 25 second mark. Are you all just because he did not dry hump him after the shot? McGrady was also cheering on teammates and throughout, though not the ENTIRE game. I was at the game and saw everything. I get that everyone wants to blame t-mac right now, and some of that is on him, but this is becoming ridiculous.
You should really watch the high quality version on youtube. Tmac shows up before the 0.31 mark, and you don't see him smiling. Then he gives what looks to be a very forced smile, then he goes back to not smiling. And he never looked at Von Wafer.
Look closer. He didn't high five Von at the 25 second mark. The man that high fives him had a tie on, which McGrady didn't have. ]
Ya true. I saw it in real time and didn't notice. I was still at the game and Mac was very excited for this team. The T-Mac bashing has gotten out of hand here.
please can we all just hush for day. we need to enjoy this win... quit trying to all find drama. i cant even enjoy visiting this site with all the negativity... should be called dramafans with everyone letting loose on Mcgrady.
YOU are the one lying. Look closely, at the 25 sec mark Tmac is just getting up from his seat, there's a celtics towel boy that crosses the screen in a "celtics" shirt, tmac is seated right behind him and gets up, Wafer takes a towel from the boy with his left hand, the closes to tmac, never high fives him, then you see Wafer go behind tmac.
yoyo i agree w/ you 100%, and i even posted myself in the game thread last nite how pissed off i was at tmac in the closing moments of the game, after we had already secured victory.....and tmac was the only rocket not smiling
