Well, I was hoping that I would catch lighting in a bottle with young pitchers like Vasquez moving into a good situation with the Yankess and the Florida pair of Penny and Beckett. I think Schmidt is not much below Mark Prior and Miller has stuff that is comparable and might benefit from pitching against the other teams fourth starter. I am kind of worried about the closers, if not so much the middle relief (I am sorted there).

BMoney... I would have to say, DAMN especially on the Infield

Trade Ensberg for some good pitching halfway through the season, PPL will be drooling over his power #'s

I like your team, especially the young pitching. We think a lot alike about a couple of players. I think Kearns and Teixera are going to be great hitters. I am hoping to do just as you say and parlay Ensberg for a weakspot later in the year. I might even use Chavez at third to bring in something major. How do you think Nick Johnson will do this year for the Expos?

Sorry, does this belong in the "Save Our Rockets" forum? ; )

I thought the other forum was for Houston sports...since I have two Astros on my team I thought I might put it here, but I will leave it to the forum police to keep this in line.

By definition, it is not dorky to be in a fantasy league. It is dorky, however, to not have enough faith in your drafting of said team that you have to ask other dorks....errrrrrr....fantasy leaguers to rate your team for you.

    :p :D

    BMoney,

You should trade 3 of your batters, not neccessarily the ones on the bench right now, but 3 of them because it is useless to have batters on your bench. I've been in a 10 man league with 25 player rosters for 2 years now and I know from experience that you want to have as much pitching depth as you can. Most batters will hardly ever get a day off as oppossed to starting pitchers who pitch once every 5 games.

You should trade 2 batters for 1 batter, 2 batters for 1 pitcher, or just do some straight up trades for a pitcher. Whatever you do though, know that it's usless having batters on your bench. It's more efficient to be able to start more pitchers which enables you to rack up more wins and K's.

    BTW, very solid looking team.
