http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/56521/20090110/kings_send_donte_greene_to_d_league/ Sacramento Kings' rookie forward Donte Greene was assigned to the team’s NBA D-League Affiliate Reno Bighorns, it was announced today. Greene is the 19th NBA player assigned to their NBA D-League affiliate this season and the first player to ever be assigned from the Kings to the NBA D-League. Greene, 6-10 was originally selected by the Memphis Grizzlies in the first-round of the 2008 NBA Draft, Greene was traded to the Houston Rockets before being acquired the Sacramento via trade and has appeared in 24 games for the Kings this season, four as a starter, and currently holds averages of 4.5 points and 1.8 rebounds. Greene played for one season at Syracuse University where he averaged a team-leading 17.7 points to go with 7.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 35 games. At the conclusion of his rookie campaign, Green had tallied 620 total points, ranking him second in school history for a freshman behind Denver Nuggets’ forward Carmelo Anthony. Additionally, Green established a new Syracuse freshman record for three-pointers made in a single season (90) surpassing the previous mark of 85 set by current Bighorns' teammate Gerry McNamara in 2002-03. Greene is expected to join McNamara, Patrick Ewing, Jr., and the Bighorns this morning and be available tonight when the team hosts the Bakersfield Jam.
the garm is for rox players and last i checked, he used to be one. Just wanted to point out another positive from the Artest trade since a lot of people were thinking Donte should not have been trade after his scoring explosion in the pre-season. And now he cant even make the team in Sac town
Didn't want to start another thread for Dorsey so here it is.... Joey Dorsey: 29.6min, 9.7PT, 9Reb, 1.6 Blk I am not very impressed with these stat. He is playing in D-league and he need to tear it down.
I think besides the rebounding numbers he did alright. 9.7 is def seems too little for him to be effective in the NBA. Anyone know or remember chuck hayes's rebounding number in D-league?
Let's see. Played and started 15 games. Averaged a double-double. 10.8 PTS, 11.4 REB on 52% shooting, 0.7 BLKS in 32.2 MPG
