While my hopes that his speed and range would return to him this season don't seem as if they will be realized, the man can still hit.

    Great job, Biggio.

    Great job Biggio.

Good game, but this cycle means that he will go back to being sucky. It's called the law of averages.

This cycle is part of Biggio correcting for his slow start - its the law of averages - top 5 leadoff man in the game bay-bee.

A simple request for MadMax and others:

Please do not quote kidrock8 when responding to his posts. I have him on ignore for a reason.

Awww poor thing. Can't deal with reality?

Look, Biggio was my favorite player and still might be. The thing is that he's a shadow of his former self. If you deal to "ignore" that fact, then I really feel for you.

Good point. It probably is the law of averages. As an Astros fan, I hope he can use this big game as a catalyst for the rest of the season. We desperately need him to be on base, with Ausmus hitting #2.

Uhh...is there a reason you are speaking directly to Behad, kidrock, after he told you you were on ignore? I doubt seriously that he will ever see what you are saying.

And regarding Biggio, he is only a shadow of his former self on the defensive side and in overall speed. The man proved last season that he can still hit. He is still one of the best leadoff men in the league.

How would he know what I said in the first place then?

I will agree, reluctantly, because the quality of leadoff men in baseball is on par to the quality of NBA centers.

My main beef with Biggio, is that he has yet to show up in the postseason.

He knew what you said because MadMax quoted you. The ignore feature doesn't block out posts where someone were to quote you in their reply. His request to MadMax and others was for us to not quote you in our posts so that he would never have to read anything you type.

I know I bash him a lot but props to Biggio. He was the reason the astros won today. Man, Biggio is one hell of a regular season player.

Now, if he could ever achieve 2/4ths of a cycle in playoff game, I'll be more impressed.

kidrock8, I'm not trying to piss you off, or be mean or anything, but you have to be the single most pessamistic person in the world. Really. I always had you in the pessamistic camp, but I've been paying close attention for the past month or so, and I don't believe you've written one positive thing that I've seen in that period. You must be a really unhappy person.
