LOL "best OT player", because that's not a small sample size or anything.

Rather not play Harden and sit Parson in the fourth

I honestly think if we had a different coach Lin would be a better player. I really do. Lin makes some stupid mistakes, but the coaching has been non-existent the past two seasons.

I'd like to thank the OP for this anti jinx thread....and now that I think about it, w/o Lin's awesome hustle play to Daniels we would've probably lost game 3 and w/o his offense spark off the bench today we probably would've lost game 5 b/c we probably wouldn't have survived Matthews 18 pt 3rd quarter. So love him or hate him, Lin had a huge impact in us not being swept today.

I declare Lin the Xfactor....there I said it LOL

    Discuss and rage on...

It's funny but if the OP got what he wanted the series would be over.

Well we welcome the OP to make another 'Lin not play another minute in playoff' thread for game 6. Make sure he eats crow afterwards though. ;)

If Mchale played LIN in GM4 OT, HOU should have won that game.

I think for things to work Lin and Harden need to be on floor opposite times with a shooter. Both thrive with the ball in their hands. I think if Harden is not in Lin has the green light to do what he did tonight.

Were Sloan the coach, Lin would be a very effective PG for a championship team. The issue with this team is lack of game sets, and relying on ISOs too much.

I think this statement doesn't just apply to Lin but to nearly every young player on this team not named Harden or Parsons. McHale doesn't give any rookies a chance until there is no choice, then suddenly it's like "Wow we found a player".

We saw this happen with DMO getting no minutes until his breakout performances. We saw this with TJones lack of play time until we didn't have another 4 to play. We see this with our newfound wunderkind Troy Daniels that we only just now "discovered". It's like McHale doesn't play anyone he's not comfortable with until he is forced too, and even then they are not given a chance to develop.

None of those cost us the game. We still had plenty of time to win but didn't deliver as a team. The simple fact that it came down to that just shows how biased you are.

You realize that half of them are trolls right? Even if we trade Lin they'll be back when he starts to do well. And you know he will.

That's how it works here. Lin makes one mistake and it's the sole reason we lost the game. Any other player makes a couple in a row and it's because they "underperformed."

You have to realize that people here have short memories. Where a player is only as good as their last play.

Amazing how all the people crying about LOFs dont respond to your post. There arent any LOFs on this board anymore, its all trolls now. People come on this board to bash Lin, ignoring everyone else on the team playing awful...lol

You're wrong. The only constant in our biggest runs was the presence of Lin; our other four players varied, though Harden was the most frequent of Lin's companions. Then the question becomes, why can't Harden and the mighty Beverley make the big runs sans Lin?
